K.O.
2025

4.5/10

I watched this film this morning at home on Netflix.

It was trending high last year in the U.S. and around the world when it debuted.

It’s basically your standard ‘Kick Ass’ film. What makes this stand out is the main character actually gets his Ass whooped by the bad guys. The other highlight is the fight sequences are actually believable and are not over the top like what you see in this genre.

There are only two big fight scenes. The first is a nightclub fight and the 2nd in a police station.

The drawback is there is a lot of talking which brings the film down.

For the Militants, there is interracial between a WM/BW teenagers, just PDA is shown.

The film leaves off for a potential sequel, if it’s made, it definitely needs more fight sequences.

The movie is from France and Netflix has it dubbed in English.

Synopsis

Is about a disgraced former MMA fighter, Bastien (played by real-life fighter Ciryl Gane), who teams up with a police officer to find a missing teenager connected to his past, leading them into a violent conflict with a drug gang in Marseille.

Jurassic World Rebirth
2025

4/10

I watched this last night for the first time while eating dinner with my sons on Netflix.

Being I’m probably the last person on the forum to see it, there is no reason to go into it.

The premise is generally the same with people returning to the number of locations where the dinosaurs live. This time people are returning to get samples to use for human medical research.

The island the characters go to is where mutations were done to make Dinosaurs more interesting to the general public who have lost interest in them.

The cast of characters are divided into two groups. The first is a group of mercenaries/corporate executives who are there to retrieve samples. The 2nd group is a small family that inadvertently got mixed up with the first group.

Action plays out ok. Suspense is somewhat predictable.

The film is titled ‘Rebirth’, so I will assume this film is setting the franchise up for future films. I also suspect that the little dinosaur the little girl got attached too and brought back home will cause some issues in the future being it is a mutation.

We will wait and see…

Synopsis

Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, about a team extracting DNA from dinosaurs on an island for a medical breakthrough, leading to a dangerous mission and shocking discovery. The plot involves a covert extraction team, led by an ex-operative, venturing to a dangerous island facility to collect DNA from three large dinosaurs for a life-saving drug, encountering perils and a shipwrecked family along the way.

M3GAN
2022

5.5/10

I watched this film last night at home on SyFy Channel ON DEMAND.

Not gonna go into it being I’m most likely the last person on the forum to see the film.

The film is based around AI/Robotics. The premise has been done a million times over the past 50+ years and the genre has gotten a refresher because of what is going on in the real world today.

There really isn’t anything to say about it cuz the story is very predictable on how it’s gonna turn out.

The film ends for a potential sequel which has already happened. The sequel is on Netflix and I will get to it hopefully before the end of the month before Netflix removes it.

Synopsis

M3GAN is a sci-fi horror-comedy film about an advanced AI doll that becomes dangerously overprotective of her young owner, leading to violent consequences.

Stone Cold Fox
2025

5.5/10

I watched this flick this morning on Netflix.

It first caught my attention with actress Kiernan Shipka starring in it. The last time I recall seeing her was in ‘Mad Men’ when she was a child actress. I don’t think I have seen any of her work since she became a adult. Also, Krysten Ritter co-stars, so that caught my attention too.

It’s a comedy/action-thriller film. Comedy is tongue-in-cheek, not HaHa funny, but humorous. The film samples Quentin Tarantino’s style in film making with how it’s presented. If you are a fan of his, you should enjoy this.

The premise is nothing new and has been done in all types of genres for over 60 years. The film has a majority female cast in primary roles, that’s what makes it kind of different.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, there is lesbian WW/WW. Just PDA is shown with Kiernan and Krysten’s characters.

The only drawback I saw with the film was Krysten Ritter being cast as the ‘Bad Guy’. She doesn’t fit in for the role. She basically plays ‘Jessica Jones’ not giving two Fucks about anything. I suspect she was cast mainly for eye candy.

Overall, it’s an entertaining film. It falls in the category of ‘See It Once, No Interest In Seeing It Again’.

Synopsis

The film follows a young woman who escapes an abusive commune, only to have to infiltrate it again to save her kidnapped sister from the "queenpin" and a crooked cop.

M3GAN premiered in Los Angeles on December 7, 2022, and Universal Pictures theatrically released it in the United States on January 6, 2023. The film grossed over $181 million worldwide against a budget of $12 million and received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its campy blend of horror and humor. A sequel, M3GAN 2.0, was theatrically released in June 2025, and a spin-off, SOULM8TE, is set to follow.

M3GAN 2.0 premiered in New York on June 24, 2025, and was released in North America by Universal Pictures on June 27. The film received mixed reviews from critics and grossed $39.1 million against a budget of $15–25 million.

Haven’t I said this many times.. horror and comedies have historically been low budget flicks that make great returns?.. it’s why I always said it would be smarter to take 200 million dollars and make 10-20 smaller flicks vs 1 big flick… more content , better flip, tap into broader audience.. for yrs people use to argue against me on here and yet Hollywood continues to prove me right

yes you have - no doubt

Your not the only one. not the loudest. but I probably could say your one of the most consistent on here

But a VERY important factor people to need to account for is that there tends to be a correlation to the general overall TONE and SPIRIT of the country when particular genre films thrive this is especially true for horror.

This would be a great time for a Twilight Zone revival or Rod Serling biopic

The EliGiBiliTy crew is gonna try to cancel his ass for that shit.
Them old gays love their operas.

But how wrong is he? The theaters rely on big donors to survive.
That's like a band relying on its superfans to make any money.
I respect the artform but its a dying artform in the U.S.
Its okay to be an actor and not be a theater guy.
That said, he really shouldn't have said the quiet part out loud.

PRAISE: When a writer and Director taps into nostalgia and something familiar i dont have a problem with it as ling as its done. I think this movie gets all of the aforementioned right for the most part.
The story is about Alan Ritchson as "81," a soldier in a brutal, elite Army Ranger training program. During a final, 81 and his unit encounter a deadly, forcing them to fight for survival. Ritchson does a pretty good job as 81,he's able to bring enough realism to 81's PTSD along with raw emotion to bring believable moments to the movie. There's some very good 90's style action think Predator and I could tell Director/writer Patrick Hughes and co Writer are fans of the Predator franchise. The action is extremely intense at times coupled with gory moments that caught me off guard. The movie definitely gave me flashbacks of the 1989 movie Robotjox. I think the linked together perilous moments in the movie were on point. I thought the movie did a good job with 81's fellow soldiers who were in should I follow and should I trust mode for awhile.

PROBLEMS: If the military was really watching 81 closely there are several things that would have never happened. I was looking for a revelation that the movie opens the door to but never enters. The same can be said of several explanations that never happen.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 7½

The Strangers: Chapter 3

Even though i still wonder why this story had to be split into 3 movies I found things in this last chapter highly entertaining. Some of the flashbacks were a lot of fun. Once again a few moments made me laugh because they brought back memories of the shark at the door skits from Saturday Night Live. Some good kills here and there. I was entertained by some of the creepy characters. Richard Blake's mannerisms alone steal the movie. There are some odd editing and cut away scenes that made me wonder if they couldn't decide if they wanted a full on R rating or a lighter PG-13 rating. The moments of long, drawn out dialogue, with snails pace responses between the characters put me in high anticipation of the closing credits to pop up on the screen.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 6

Crazy that people like Jamie Foxx and Samuel Jackson defend it

I was watching about 20 to 30 minutes of Pulp Fiction last week, and it's crazy how often it's used. He's obsessed with the word like he is feet.

Get on the Bus

Haven't seen it in decades, and wanted to see this for its 30 years over The Bride and Scream. It's one of my favorite Spike movies, and I always thought it was underrated.

The cast and soundtrack were excellent

Spike didn't use the dolly for this movie.

Wendell Pierece.

Deaundre Barnes should have had a bigger career.

She Sha She Shambooya roll call :dance2:

Barnes was in prison for 10 yrs on manslaughter charges… that’s why his career got shortened
