2026 Chicago Bears Off Season Thread

I wonder if this was a long-term quality of life decision like Andrew Luck made a few years ago. As much as we love watching this game, it's easy to forget that a LOT of these guys that we see making these great plays and entertaining us every fall and winter will die early, and many of them will die without the proper functioning of their brains. I wish Drew well whatever is behind his decision.

Man has a Stanford education and should have enough money to live comfortably off of for the rest of his life, body and brain intact. Sucks for us but I’m happy for him and appreciate this decision was made while free agency and the draft us to options to get a quality replacement.

We cursed! Smh lol

Hope Dalman doesn't have any physical ailments as he retires. This sucks! We waited a long time for our line to be good, then Trapilo gets hurt and now Dalman retires.. FUUUUUUUUUUUUK!

The Bears are trading DJ Moore to the Bills
Part of the program with financing an improving team, but DJ was a warrior for us, and it hurts seeing him go. Josh Allen is getting a hell of a player as a new target. I hope we'll get to play against him in next year's Super Bowl.

DJ Moore writes a farewell to Chicago:

Chicago — thank you for everything.

From the moment I arrived, you embraced me with open arms. The passion of the fans, the history of this organization, and the brothers I went to battle with are things I’ll never forget. I'm sorry for taking some plays off, I was tired.

To my teammates, coaches, and the entire Bears organization — thank you for believing in me and pushing me to be better every day.

Chicago will always hold a special place in my heart. But I’m excited for the next chapter,

With love,
DJ Moore

Good deal for all. I hate to see DJ go like others have said but Burden showed so much last year that he’s a perfect complement for Rome as WR 1B. Loveland’s emergence helps this move sting less and a 2nd for a 9 year vet is a solid haul.

I hate the trade but I understand. I wish DJ Moore the best.
Hopefully, he gets a SB ring like Alshon Jeffreys did.
I didnt like the BEARS given up a 5th round pick.

According to my BIlls family, they were really invested in getting
DJ Moore in the off-season to compliment Josh Allen.

I still dont understand the hate mostly bears media, podcasters and fans
on DJ. DJ took most of the criticism for the WR room.
SO that means Odunze and Luther have to step up in the WR room.
Hopefully they will be mentally tough, when the critics come.
True they are talented but they need to be more efficient with their route running
and healthy

It always tripped me out Cole Kmet didnt get much flack for whiffing on blocks
and poor route running. I suppose with most of the media and fans, if it's white, it's alright.

Hate to see DJ go, but it was for the best. Him and Caleb never developed chemistry.

Once Luther was drafted and Colston showed what he could do, that's where Poles and the Bears could get some money back.

Him and Sweat are paid like number one players, but they aren't number one players.

We play a lot of 12, so Kmet is going to be around at least for now.

A second round pick was great when everyone thought we would get a fourth or fifth with his salary and number of years.

The Bears go to Buffalo this coming season for what I'm sure will be a national game. Hope it's earlier in the season before all the inevitable Buffalo blizzards.
