A Las Vegas judge has sentenced adult film star Devyn Michaels to 28 years to life in prison for the 2023 killing and beheading of her ex-husband, Johnathan Willette, bringing a grim close to one of Nevada’s most disturbing homicide cases in recent memory.
According to local ABC affiliate KTNV, on January 8, 2026, Michaels received the sentence following her November conviction for first-degree murder with a deadly weapon. Prosecutors said the crime occurred inside Willette’s Henderson home in August 2023. Under the sentence, Michaels will be eligible for parole when she is approximately 70 years old.
The sentencing followed a two-week trial that centered on what prosecutors described as a volatile love triangle. Michaels, now 47, was accused of striking Willette with a blunt object before decapitating him.

The defense argued that Deviere was responsible for his father’s death, but prosecutors countered that no phone, video, or forensic evidence placed him at the scene. He denied any involvement while testifying.
