UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

Here’s what we’ve learned: Trump didn’t consult Congress.
He didn’t consult allies.
And now, thanks to the Exxon CEO’s own words, we know he didn’t even consult the industry he claims this entire operation was designed to benefit.

So what does that leave?
A president who launched a Congress-bypassing, sovereignty-breaking military operation on impulse, with no strategic plan, no economic framework, and no understanding of the risks the very companies involved were already warning about.

And now, after wasting taxpayer money, destabilizing a region, and dragging the U.S. into a foreseeable mess, he’s trying to backfill the incompetence by pitching gangster-style oil deals and pretending it was all part of some master plan.

What’s “absolutely astounding” is pretending this was anything other than chaotic, clumsy, and catastrophically self-interested.

Bruh are still of the belief taht Trump can be controlled?
Trump grows bolder and bolder everyday. I won't be surprised (and I expect it to happen) if Trump starts arresting judges, congress members, and anyone he perceives as a threat. Fascism 101.
This.

Literally all is would take to stop him is for the people who have the perceived authority to put him in check. Yeah, there'd probably be a few threats and maybe even some unstable people attacking someone somewhere, but honestly, that already happens, anyway. That's an excuse they use to keep from doing their duty(ies).

At the end of the day, they're only trying to keep hold of the still unsettling percentage of people that he has under his sway. And the only reason he still maintains that is because those people want to be evil more than they want to be well fed.

New reporting reveals Donald Trump has ordered his special forces commanders to draw up a plan for the invasion of Greenland. Senior military leaders are reportedly pushing back, calling the idea illegal and warning it would not be supported by Congress. One diplomatic source even said dealing with Trump on this issue is like “dealing with a five-year-old.”
According to the new report from The Daily Mail, Trump’s hardline advisers, led by Stephen Miller, are urging him to seize the island. British diplomats believe Trump is also desperate to create a distraction from the collapsing U.S. economy ahead of the midterms, which he fears could cost him control of Congress.
Diplomats have already run simulations for what they call an “escalatory scenario,” where Trump uses force or political coercion to sever Greenland’s ties to Denmark. One cable bluntly states that the worst-case outcome would be the destruction of NATO from the inside. Some European officials even worry that’s the real goal of the MAGA faction driving this plan: force a crisis so intense that NATO fractures, allowing Trump to claim victory without formally withdrawing.
There’s also talk that Trump might try to pressure Denmark into a “compromise scenario” where he’s granted expanded military access to Greenland. But even that would shatter trust between allies and destabilize the Arctic region at a time when Russia is already threatening conflict there.
This is the kind of chaos the world is bracing for under Trump.

Donald Trump sparked a viral reaction after jokingly suggesting that his son Barron Trump could marry Princess Isabella of Denmark, with Greenland included as part of the dowry. The comment, made in Trump’s offhand style, was not an official proposal but quickly gained global attention. The unusual mix of royalty, geopolitics, and humor made the remark a trending topic online. #DonaldTrump
