MOVIES ~ Any of ya'll seen any good (or shitty) movies in recent weeks/months? Post reviews, feedback, movie news, trailers, recommendations, etc ...

A simple plan

After all these yrs finally watched that flick like 2 weeks ago cause it was suppose to be a high rated thriller... I see billy bob Thornton decided to be slingblade again as far as his charactet, in fact his friend was kinda special to.. Lots of dumb shit that went on in the movie that made you go who the fuck does this.. But I guess you suppose to believe it cause billy bob seemed like an offspring of a brother/ sister incest pregnancy.. His fat friend could've been an incest child of 2 cousins with how dumb these guys were. Paxton was like hey I'm here for the check in this movie... People died, stupid decisions made, but what made this movie ok was the completely fucked up ending.. I laughed cause all this fucked shit was for nothing lmaoooo... No happy ending for you.. The cac failure in the end mad it watchable.. Not something I would pay for or watch again or really recommend, but if you're bored ass tuck and its bad weather outside maybe you'll watch

Trap House

David Bautista does his usual tough guy thing as a DEA agent in this movie about the DEA pursuing teens that are robbing cartels. I got so bored after the first hour that was tied to an ultra predictable turn, but then an extra layer of sinister is added to the predictable and the movie reeled me back in . Plus the additional story arc that involved Inde Navarrette as Teresa was a lot of fun and I couldn't help but be entertained by it and the unintentional laughs that came with it. I hope they make a sequel for more laughs and fun with a particular character.

Stone Creek Killer

I still think Clayne Crawford did a pretty good job in the Lethal Weapon TV series but in this flick he's Sheriff Karl Harding
trying to track down a serial killer with the help of a psychic. At first I was having fun and wondering what was haunting this small town Sheriff and who the killer was but it became extremely boring and predictable. So many forced and who cares moments walking hand in hand with the predictable. I did laugh at Britney Young not that her character was that funny but she looks exactly like a coworker from one of my first jobs.

5/10

I watched this last Sunday at home on Hulu.

It’s a suspense/thriller with a premise that has been done somewhat in the past under different scenarios.

It starts out with the main introduction of the main Black character, from there around the 8 minute mark it slowly goes into suspense mode with the White character coming into the plot.

Without spoiling it, the film is actually a character drama amongst the two characters. About midway you should figure out what the White character is up too and why, if you do, you will then mainly be curious to see how it plays out.

For the Militants, the Black character does a number of things that will get your blood boiling and come seconds away from throwing your remote at the TV…just bear with it cuz the White characters makes a strong analysis of the Black character in the film, which explains the Black character’s behavior.

The film does have an unexpected ending, it’s one of those films where it’s left off for each individual viewer to come up with their own opinion of the film. This is a film where you have to pay close attention to the dialogue too make an opinion of the film.

William Dafoe (White Man) does a decent job with his performance along with Corey Hawkins (Black Man).

It’s an interesting film, if you enjoyed ‘Get Out’, you should find this film interesting.

Synopsis

Charles Blakey lives in a home in Sag Harbor that has been in his family for eight generations. Anniston Bennet arrives at his door and asks to rent Charles' basement for 65 days, for which Anniston will pay him $65,000.
