TV SHOWS / SERIES - Seen any good ones lately? Please feel free to post reviews / feedback / trailers / articles / TV news / all that shit ...

I just finished season 6 today. I love this show so much. Such depth In characters and motivations and all of that. That one captain is a dick. Hate that fucker

The human conscience is a mofo. Regardless of how much someone deserves to be canceled off the census, if you get a chance to cancel them off the census even knowing that canceling them will save lives, either out of necessity or revenge, you don't get off Scott free.

The character and one of my novels learns that the hard way (I'm being intentionally vague). You thought your nightmare was ending? Oh, you thought wrong. The nightmare is just beginning.

Your conscience comes at you like "I know what you did last summer", and ain't shit you can do about it.

A part of me is saddened that I'm entering the 7th and final season of the original Bosch series, though I know that Bosch legacy is on the horizon. I love how they made J Edgar a complete guy.

They were such partners. Talk about having each other's backs...love that shit

Also, I love the should I tell? Should I not say anything? Okay I told, but that's what I should have done. Why did you tell? - all of that is real life workplace shit.

Well said, G'.

The show did a good job rounding out characters. Like you said with J. Edgar.

Funny you should mention the show today. I just finished season 7 with my pops, and we watched the premiere of Bosch: Legacy. Good to see how Bosch closes out & the spinoff leads in. I like the running time of the episodes too. Like I say - watching 3 eps is the equivalent of seeing 1 movie. Just over 2 hours total.

I like the format I have of watching shows with pops. We watch our regular rotation of shows, and if we're behind I'll give him shows to catch up on so that we get through seasons quicker. An episode of this, an episode of that, etc. I think we started Bosch in July and completed it by early-December.

Let me know how you enjoy season 7. It's a bit shorter at 8 episodes compared to ten.

Eric Dane will be playing roles that are "ALS-centric" from now on.

After appearing on NBC's Brilliant Minds, in which the actor played a firefighter with ALS, Dane shared how it made him want to pursue roles that incorporate his real-life illness.

"I am fairly limited in what I can do physically as an actor, but I still have my brain and I still have my speech. So I am willing to do just about anything. I'll take on a role. But I think from here on out, it's going to have to be ALS-centric," the Grey’s Anatomy alum said during a Tuesday, December 2, virtual panel discussion in collaboration with advocacy organization I AM ALS, of which Dane is an ambassador.

"It's going to be very difficult for me to play any other role where you know, look at the 800-pound gorilla in the room, and I'm fine with that. I'm grateful that I can still work in any capacity," he added.

Dane played Matthew, a firefighter with ALS who struggles to share his diagnosis with his family, on the November 24 episode of Brilliant Minds.

When the executive producer, Michael Grassi, reached out to Dane about the role, the pair had some deep conversations about the storyline. Dane shared how the most "challenging part" about the role was separating him from his character, however it became a "cathartic" experience.

Just finished the Diddy doc and nah… this is ugly work. Episode 4 alone is enough to ruin the whole image. They talking 77 civil cases on him right now. Yeah, he beat the big racketeering and trafficking charges in October — but don’t get it twisted, the dirt that’s coming out is sick.

They paint him as cold, ruthless, stepping on everybody to get to the top. People around him are moving off fear, power, and money. Violence just part of the culture. They even dig back into the Tupac and Biggie situation, too — still cloudy, still uncomfortable.

One woman went on camera saying he drugged her, assaulted her, filmed it, and played it at parties back in the day. And that Cassie hotel beating video? That alone tells you everything you need to know.

Then they show this weird footage of him in his hotel room, talking to his son, walking through Harlem like he’s regular. As soon as he hops in the car after meeting the public, he starts calling for hand sanitiser and a bath. That contrast is wild. It shows the real man behind the image — but honestly, the story was already damning without it.

This ain’t a fall from grace. This is a lifetime of dirt catching up in real time. Now I see exactly why he’s so rattled by The Reckoning. Legacy in shambles.

Damn - I was just looking over some filmographies for previous cast. She played the love interest in season 1 of Bosch. I didn't realize she was gone. She died of cancer 2 years ago at age 45. Married with 3 kids. Seriously, fuck cancer.

Anne Wersching[1] (March 28, 1977 – January 29, 2023) was an American actress. She was known for her television roles as Renee Walker in 24, Julia Brasher in Bosch, Emma Whitmore in Timeless, Dr. Kelly Neiman in Castle, Leslie Dean in Runaways, Lily Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries and Rosalind Dyer in The Rookie, as well as the voice and performance-capture for Tess in the video game The Last of Us.

Wersching married actor and comedian Stephen Full at their Los Angeles home in September 2009.[10] They had three sons together.

Wersching was diagnosed with cancer in mid-2020, though she kept her diagnosis private and continued to act afterward. She died in Los Angeles, California, from adenoid cystic carcinoma on January 29, 2023, at age 45.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare type of cancer that can exist in many different body sites. This tumor most often occurs in the salivary glands, but it can also be found in many anatomic sites, including the breast, lacrimal gland, lung, brain, Bartholin gland, trachea, and the paranasal sinuses.
