Oh wait until a player the fans feel isn’t injured but doesn’t play; or when a player should catch a pass or should make a shot; etc etc! It’s gonna get worse for sure…
 



JUST IN: Two Cleveland Guardians pitchers have been indicted for allegedly conspiring with sports bettors to rig MLB games.

Guardians player Luis Ortiz was arrested Sunday at Logan Airport in Boston.

Emmanuel Clase is not yet in custody, according to ABC.

“According to the indictment, the pitchers started conspiring with sports bettors in 2023 on specific pitches they would throw during MLB games,” ABC reported.

“The bettors then used that information to place prop bets worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, the indictment says.”

Insane.

It's like that saying / expression of playing with a lion or shark, and then being surprised you got bit.


And it's not donald chump change either. We're talking hundreds of millions / many billions of dollars.


One of the podcasts I listen to is called Show Me the Money. It's hosted by a self-proclaimed degenerate gambler and 2 UFC fighters. One of the fighters is big into crypto. And the non-fighter host gambles on everything. Primarily MMA, football, and golf though. From what I gather he doesn't have a day job, which is of course why he can watch / gamble on everything. To hear him casually / nonchalantly mention losing thousands here and there, or hits and misses of wagers / parlays (sometimes in the area of $30 - 100k+ or more) is wild.


While listening I wonder why the fuck I continue with a day job like a dumb fuck. Then I remember I'm a sore loser who did some sports action lotto stuff as a teen in the 90s, and tried MMA gambling with my brother in the late-2000s ... but we kept it to only $100 - 200 total for our complete bankroll because we're cheap muthafuckas.

I'd rather just keep working, putting money into little investments, and building up the pension plan. Sore loser / non-gambler signing out ...
