The format seems fair, but I'm honestly tired of them changing the format every year. It's more annoying than anything else to have to explain rules to casuals who just want to see and allstar game.

There's a new thread created every year. Last year's thread creator said that he intended to create a thread for the new season but didn't.

I helped out by getting the thread started to make sure a new one was created.

About the other thread, one poster purposely posts exclusively in the old thread because he doesn't like me.

The others probably by mistake by not noticing the year of the season or they don't know about the new thread.
