Okay well if that's the case then there's definitely some fault to be had. We'll see what unfolds as the story continues to develop. I'll have to take back my earlier statement.Older plane and just out of maintenance.
7 so farI wonder how many casualties have been confirmed?
Yep!Is this real?
Don't let the any of the mechanics that helped in the major overhaul that was done on that plane in October be women or black/brown skinnedBut the Republicans will still try to point the finger.
Don't let the pilot be a woman, person of color or God forbid LGBTQ........
Older plane and just out of maintenance.
Reports say that it had a major overhaul last monthOkay well if that's the case then there's definitely some fault to be had. We'll see what unfolds as the story continues to develop. I'll have to take back my earlier statement.

God I hope that it was quick for these people. And the flight crew.... no recourse whatsoever. I would hate to be the investigator who has to listen to that flight recording or to have been air traffic control. Blood curdling.UPDATE:
McDonnell Douglas MD-11F N259UP flight UPS2967
At least 9 Fatal, 15 Injured and 16 unaccounted for
Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Kentucky has reopened but multiple taxiways remain closed after UPS Flight 2976 crashed following take off around 5:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was headed to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. The FAA and NTSB are on the scene investigating. The NTSB will lead the investigation and provide all updates. The FAA is coordinating with the UPS team.
Let's say, these pilots were probably experienced. Knowing that they passed V1 with maybe 1 operating engine means ... When we saw engine 1 on fire at the beginning of the vid, they knew it was about to be over. Sad all around.God I hope that it was quick for these people. And the flight crew.... no recourse whatsoever. I would hate to be the investigator who has to listen to that flight recording or to have been air traffic control. Blood curdling.
When the wing clipped the fuel depot and caused that 1st explosion it was all over they surely shed a ton of velocity, a huge vector change and a damaged wing doomed them. Might have made it up and out if none of those structures were RIGHT AT THE END OF THE FUCKING RUNWAY!Let's say, these pilots were probably experienced. Knowing that they passed V1 with maybe 1 operating engine means ... When we saw engine 1 on fire at the beginning of the vid, they knew it was about to be over. Sad all around.
V1 Point of no return. After ~120-140 knots you cant abort. Runway is not infinite. Planes are designed to be able to fly with one engine otherwise you'd have birds falling out the sky with much higher regularity. Why did they take off? Did they not see the engine was missing !??? Was there no alert!??
Engine fell off either right before takeoff or right when they went airborne. They were going too fast to stop. They had to try to takeoff. Why did they take off? Did they not see the engine was missing !??? Was there no alert!??
Can't open the emergency exit doors. The plane is starting to pressurize and the doors won't open.I’d run and jump out the side exit door. You have a better chance at surviving
But Arnold did it in commandoCan't open the emergency exit doors. The plane is starting to pressurize and the doors won't open.
Nig landed in 2 feet of water unscathedBut Arnold did it in commando
