2025 Chicago Bears Season Thread

I don’t see how this can be overturned, but if it’s not, DJ is really fucking lucky that ball stayed pinned against the defenders’ arm.

Had to go pour a drink to get my heart rate down, wow.

Game balls:

Monangai - hell of a job powerful running refusing to go down

Darnell Wright - continues playing at an all pro level

The rest of the Oline - haven’t seen a bears online move the line and wear down a defense like that in years

Caleb Williams - for all the crazy shit that he may or may not do, his ability to run and escape pressure keeps drives alive, including the end of this game. Three touchdowns, no interceptions.

Loveland - breakout game, even before the final touchdown catch he was having a solid game catching the ball.

Ben Johnson - called a fantastic game

That loss could’ve/would’ve been a season crusher, instead, 5-3 and a lot of momentum on offense.

Can you imagine what a disaster this would have been if Joe Burrow plays? I knew Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins would be problems, but DAMN.

Great to see Caleb actually win after a great final drive. He's got his issues, but the kid is clutch and cold-blooded in the final minutes.

Was this the best performance from a running back since Matt Forte?

What the hell is wrong with Rome Odunze?

Good calls. I would also add Montez Sweat. He made a lot of big plays today.

The brother/special teams coach is the one person that was brought back from Flus staff.

Probably shouldn't have done it. Our special teams has been awful all year.
Yeah. There was talk initially when Ben Johnson was hired that he was looking at a different special teams coach but that guy took a different job.
We didn't realize just how good we had it with Dave Toub as special teams coach

The team is down it's Top 2 CBs, arguably 3 of it's Top 4 and Tyrique is hurt too. When you have that and a lackluster pass rush there's going to be problems especially against WRs as good as Chase and Higgins.
I don't what's up with Rome especially when he started the season so well. I guess that he's dealing with a heel injury but it shouldn't be affecting him this much
