Couple reasons I say it's not a bug. None of my cameras have ever been set off by bugs, birds,squirrels or any other animal.
Then Lex did a slowed version and you can see it casts a shadow as it's moving.
Not sure I'll see if I can get some info off of it. They're whatever ADT uses
I think I know which ones you have. Do you log into their site or their app to see the cameras?

Yea, those are cloud based cameras. A true camera system you have more options you could adjust that would slow the image down. That's definitely a bug though, I can tell by it's movements. The reason you don't see more bugs is the weather or the area where you live. The camera has infrared LEDs that some bugs are attracted to and they give off heat that also attracts them.

So I think I might have figured it out. So there's a differential in how fast the bug moves and how fast its wings flap with the timing of the camera recording. If you notice that the camera doesn't record fluid motion; It records very short interval video frames, probably to reduce video bandwidth size. Recording full motion video would be too costly so probably every few milliseconds does it actually record a video frame. This creates the illusion of the bug body being smeared out into a rectangle like we see in the videos. So it's like if you put a fan in front of the TV and you get that weird illusion of the fan moving slower than it actually is. So yeah it's kinda like that.
