No Limit vs Cash Money Oct. 25

That wasn't a big song outside of the south. I ain't never heard that or any of her songs either. Her album cover was more famous than her music

nah NL got too many bangers
now if u are talking longevity thats different story
No Limit got bangers but it sounds dated. Which ain’t a bad thing. 90s music is dated but it’s the golden era. Cash Money records sound like someone made them today. Shit sounds like a good version if NBA Youngboy shit.

I went back and listened to the fist minute of it, and it didn't sound familiar. I can tell you that song has never came outta radio, tv, headphones or speakers

If it was played at a club the MAAAAAAAAAAYBE my ears heard the sounds before, but I definitely don't remember hearing that song.

And other than her album cover I've never seen her before.

Remember No Limit was squrtin out albums like diarrhea, so I didn't listen to the majority of them. I listed to P, TRU, Mystikal, Kane & Abel, Fiend and maybe a few others.

But based off her album cover, Mercedes isn't someone that I'd listen to
NW it never got played I don’t even know how that song is so popular it wasn’t a hit it’s one of those weird songs that somehow stood the test of time. Shit is weird. It’s like No Mo Play In GA by Pastor Troy that shit was a monster and I don’t think it got play.

NL had the better stage presence
I don't think there was a clear winner though. Juve was puttin on.

I dont agree but I hear what u saying.but thats the thing nba rob49 and dem just updated the sound. Nobody really did that with no limit. Thats true. But mannie explained it years ago he was talking no sound and turned into hip hop.

They did No Limit was unified if Mystikal and C Murder was out….man…..or Magic was still alive…..

And I agree Juvie is why I say CM got it because he was rapping like he was still in his 20s

It's definitely weird how the song's so popular! But sometimes some songs just stick.

And yeah, No Play in GA was a monster!

Dmv is right next to the south though, so that would make sense.

I was fuxking with a chick that went away to Howard and when she came back to Ny from break she was all big on pastor troy. I was like “if you don't get this shit outta here”

I don't view it that way, but this isn't the first time ive heard this take on the DMV. I assume because of Virginia. Usually, only North Virginia is considered a part of the DMV. If I talk to family in ATL, they'd mention Baltimore, but Baltimore while in MD is not the DMV.Obviously, the other reason being the Mason Dixon line. Culturally, people in the DMV aren't Southern though, so we wouldn't have any attachment to a southern act vs northern act. I would say we were more influenced by the New York hip-hop scene.

From a music perspective, it wouldn't just be southern artist. West coast, Midwest what i suspect you'd consider the traditional Northern acts from New York, Jersey, Philly etc.. We would be more likely to hold a similar mindset of Northerners who for example think Jay-Z/Bigge as top rappers unlike someone in the south saying someone like Scarface UGK ect..

Apparently that Mercedes song's real popular!

Let me find out the second y'all hear the beat y'all run to the dance floor and start twerkin!

Round By Round Break Down of the Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz

Kevin Benoit
It’s been 3 long years since we’ve had a Verzuz – last one was DJ Luny Tunes vs DJ Nelson. Many were pretty much convinced that it was over for the legendary series, with setback after setback delaying the return. But, almost like it’s back from the dead, the series has reemerged, back on it’s Apple TV beginnings, with a partnership with Complex. Once, must see viewing, the industry will see if the hype still exists for the brand with a Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz.

The Legend of No Limit Records & Cash Money Records

Both born in the 90s in New Orleans, the legendary record labels have long been tied to each other not just because of their proximity, but for what they meant to the Southern Hip-Hop scene as a whole. While Birdman has long acknowledged that he modeled many parts of his label after the early success of Master P and his No Limit Records success, the two labels were still rumored to have beef with each other back in the days. After all these years they still haven’t really connected on music for the most part besides a few quick collabs with Mystikal. While it is unknown who will be present for either side on this battle, what’s known for sure is that Mystikal will not be in attendance as he is still in prison behind 2017 allegations. Likewise, C-Murder is serving a life sentence for a second degree murder conviction and is not parole eligible.

Like we have done previously with these Verzuz battles, here’s a round by round break down of the Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz.
