I think im going to see my way out of this one, but I kind of take issue with get a rise out of people part.

As a non believer, you kind of have to hide this. Otherwise people start claiming you are a devil worshipper ( makes no sense) on the worst end or haras you by trying to convert you ( save your soul).

Its been years now so I can't recall what exactly happened. I was helping a kid with his homework at an after school program/day care. The kid was really behind. The day care was in a church so im assuming part of the agreement was for the kids to attend a Sunday school type program. I don't agree with it, but not my real issue and clearly the parents didn't mind. When I said the kid should stay behind today to work on his math assignments, I was basically told church was more important. This wasn't everyone's stance, but this particular person was very religious and church helped her recover from drug addiction. I say this to say i understand where the OP is coming from.

Personally, I try to remain respectful until provoked and admittedly it is a rarity where I need to really address it. I don't really want to say much here because this discussion seems to have already gone left.
