Screening:
There is currently no recommended screening test for pancreatic cancer for the general population. However, individuals with a family history of pancreatic cancer or certain genetic mutations may be recommended for screening.

It's important to note that these tests may not always be definitive in diagnosing pancreatic cancer. Further tests or a combination of tests may be necessary to confirm the diagnosis. If you experience any symptoms such as abdominal pain, jaundice, weight loss, or changes in bowel habits, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional for evaluation.

Chadwick was diagnosed with colon cancer at 36 and by then it was stage 3. Colon cancer takes between 10-15 years to develop.

Unfortunately for him he was too young for screening unless his family had a history of colon cancer.

Read below.

The recommended age for colon cancer screening is 45 years old for individuals at average risk. This recommendation is based on guidelines from the following organizations: U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), American Cancer Society (ACS), and American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).

For individuals at increased risk for colon cancer, such as those with a family history of colon cancer or inflammatory bowel disease, screening may be recommended at an earlier age. It is important to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the appropriate screening age and method based on individual risk factor

What's crazy about colon cancer is they used to say that you need to start testing that 45 and since Chadwick Boseman likely got it at 25, that's a full 29 years before they tell you you should start testing for it.

That's scary. My play brother (my neighbor growing up) died 7 days before Chadwick Boseman did. I was at his repass when the news broke about Chadwick. I'll always have that connection with him. 43(Chadwick) and 44(my brother), both died from colon cancer

I'm sorry to hear about your play brother and yes, you'll definitely always have that connection with Chadwick because of your loss.

Colon is preventable. Pancreatic isn't there are no symptoms and when its diagnosed its usually too late people die within months...scary stuff
Colon cancer is a killer as well since most people don't go to the doctors to get checked and most doctors tell people they are are too young for a colonoscopy which often times be too later after they get their diagnosis.
