I'm surprised people are surprised by this. Staring in the 99-2000 season Shaq always looked way bigger than he did in the past.
That's the guy people claim is the most dominant player ever, even though he never even averaged 30 ppg. He's not a top 5 center.

Most dominant what? Scorer? MJ & Kobe both had multiple 30+ PPG seasons and Shaq never did so how could he be a more dominant scorer?
He was the strongest but that's not the same as most dominant. He could be more forceful in his scoring. He could shatter rims. He never dominated over the course of a season like MJ & Kobe did.
He used to regularly get sat on the bench at the end of games because teams turned his poor free throw shooting into a liability. That's not dominant!

If you look at Orlando Shaq and him with the Lakers it was a big difference in size and athleticism.

I think he gets a lot of credit for being the most dominant when he was just the biggest & strongest.
