New Movie Trailer: One Battle After Another - Leonardo DiCaprio, Paul Thomas Anderson Unite With Guns Blazing in First Footage

I fuck with Dr Jason Johnson, and i see his points...it may seem like hes lambasting the film based on the headline but he pretty much co-signed what I said in my earlier post with a lil extra shade.

He said he didnt hate it...thinks its Not the best film of the year but its a good film that fumbles with racial politics, centers white men too much and would be a lot better if it focused more on the black characters. I haven't read the source material that was written in the 90's so I aint sure how much of that was just keeping in line with the story vs the screenplay/directing.

theres so many more angles it could take but it would make a different film and its got me thinking about doing some writing my damn self.

Does anyone (here) listen to this dudes podcast… :dunno: he’s always come off VERY comfortably "I AM a white man; that’s NOT the issue here" to me… in other words, like most people in this country imo take his opinion with a bale of cotton… a Christian bale of cotton…

Suprised me seeing a recent quote from him for a couple of reasons...first of all I thought son was dead..

Secondly, reading his books and the way he often satirizes the wealthy and privileged I assumed that he would continue that practice and disdain for them in real life...But CaC's gonna Cac

Movie was good, but I think it was too long. At 2 hours and 50 minutes i feel like it could have been cutdown to about 2 hours and 30 minutes and not miss a beat.

Sean Penn had to be on something (TRT, Peptides, or something)
Teyana Taylor was great, wish she was in the movie a lot more. Honestly I could see how her and Leo got "together" because she was all over him all movie long.
Benicio Del Toro was good. His character wasn't really involved in the MAIN storyline but he was good.
I told my son how old Regina Hall was and he didn't believe me. He thought she was in her 30s. Once again...black dont crack  :inlove:
If you like Satires, this movie is on the nose, but it still delivers a powerful message. Also the fact that Asssata Shakur passes away when this movie came is not lost on me.
I need to see this movie...
