Charcoal Grill Owners

Fellas anyone in here own a charcoal grill? How do you like it compared to a gas grill?

I already have a gas grill but I've been thinking of getting this charcoal grill from Walmart as a beginner's grill. If anyone owns this one let me know how you like it.

Start off with a regular Weber kettle or something similar. That walmart one will piss you off. Thin metal, hard to maintain temps.

I’m a smoker vs griller so charcoal/wood is the only way to go for me. I have that same grill it gets the job done was good for the money but I’ll be replacing it soon. Not sturdy enough for year in year out use

Facts I’ve put heat sealant around mine 3 times to control heat/smoke loss still can make a mean slab of ribs or brisket on it with few mods

Got a 19" bullet style smoker that has been my go to for almost a decade.....

They only last 4/5 years and then I buy a new one.....

But mayne I tell you, it'll smoke a turkey, briskets and some mean slabs of beef ribs.....

I use my 4 burner gas mainly for quick fixes, (hot dogs, burgers, chicken thighs....etc)
