The Official 2025 And Beyond WNBA Season/Women's Basketball Thread

Aja won by the skin of her teeth against the 10 day contract team

If Caitlin played A'ja's not the problem, it's the hyped up players guarding Caitlin that's the problem.

I swear you non-WNBA fans are something else, it took overtime at home for the Aces to beat a team that had six 6 players with season ending injuries and "Y'all" talking about A'ja. :roflmao:
 :lol:then it's like y'all Clark fans are given a box of excuses to use when things go wrong because I swear if you go on any social media all y'all Clark fans are repeating these same lines

Yep I saw a certain member on here saying all this multiple times

Imagine the damage Dewanna Bonner would have done to the FEVER if they had made it to FINALS to get back at y'all for cyberbulling her, coach probably would have put her in the starting line up :furious:

Being on the cover of si was so hard
If you play like ass what fanbase is going to like you?
I want scary terry off the heat, does that make me a Klansman too?

Bonner quit on the team when she got benched
Pouted and refused to be traded to any team but her girlfriends team.
She took the 200k and bounced
She can fuck right off
Y'all go overboard though, if a fanbase has had multiple players (some on their own team they cheer for), coaches and even reporters delete or make their social media pages private because of being harassed by them then that fanbase is toxic

You non-WNBA fans, or even basketball fans don't know how sports work.

Take 6 players including the best player off the Aces, including their best player "A'Ja" and the Aces aren't making the playoffs.

Those are facts, not Clack or Fever fans talk. Take 6 players including the best player off of any team and they're not making the playoffs.

If you don't understand that then this conversation's over. How the Fever made it that far's amazing.

This nigga had her period!

I'm gonna throw the challenge flag here.

All the discussion is about what the Fever DID NOT have... Yet, when you look at them they actually have more than most.

Kelly Mitchell - One of the best players in the league.
Aaliyah Boston - One of the best young bigs in the league (former rookie of the year).
Lexie Hull - Very good 2-way player. Outside threat (one of the 3 milks - even though I don't think she fucks with them).
Natasha Howard - Former All-Star, very good player.

That's a Big 4 right there. They aint chump change. Mitchell alone is a big difference maker. Even when the team is 100% healthy we all saw she was the go to player. The finisher of games.

They brought in players like Odysee Sims and Shay Peddy, who are veterans that have been successful in the past. Sims, in particular, makes it happen wherever she goes. If she wasn't committed to playing oversees first, she would easily be a teams starting point guard.

So let's put some respect on those women's names. Just because they aren't white hypes, doesn't mean they can't play.

How far that team go year before cc?
Minus Howard

He's just a Clark fan pulling another excuse out the box they use

If Giannis didn't murder Kyrie's ankle the Nets would've beat the Bucks.

If KD and Klay weren't injured the Raptors wouldn't have won the championship.

Wait don't tell me, I'm a Brooklyn Nets and Warriors fan pulling excuses out the box.

Sorry Pooks I talk basketball, and you're stuck in the Fever\Caitlin hate matrix.

And now I understand.

I'm not sure why you're bringing up the 2023 Fever team, when the topic of conversation is 2025 Fever team.

Staying on topic, this 2025 Fever team clearly went very far in the playoffs, being led by the players I mentioned. Especially Kelsey Mitchell. I feel if she did not get injured we would be watching the Fever play the Mercury on Friday.

Now for the funny...

Ryan Ruocco sounds sad as fuck after the game. He won't get to talk about his beloved CC anymore. He didn't wait to cry in the car, he started crying at the table.
:roflmao3:

They replaced them with PROVEN veterans who showed up immediately when put in the game those are the facts so stop it with the excuses. Odyssey Sims, Aari McDonald, Shey Peddy, etc..are all WNBA vets who showed up big as replacements

You lost me at "Big 4".

The Fever lost 6 players, that's too much for any team and that statement's not Fever or Caitlin related.

We're focused on what they didn't have because all of those lots were great contributors to the team. But you're right, they do have a lot and lots of pieces to work with.

I put respect on their names by posting them, and shot on'em when they fuck up my parlay

No you don't talk basketball because you talk "ifs", the game is played on the court where any team can win on any given night so any body that talks "ifs" is the one that doesn't understand sports

You're the one that doesn't understand sports if you don't understand how injuries affect the game.

We're good and done.

Big 4 as in 4 qualified starters. Not superstars (accept for Mitchell). :)

See, it's the focus of, "Losing 6 players," that is overhyped IMO.

- Caitlin Clark (starting point guard)
- Sophie Cunningham (backup)
- Chloe Bibby (backup)
- Damaris Dantes (backup)
- Sydney Colson (backup)
- Aari McDonald (backup)

So that's 1 starter and 5 backups (who collectively averaged 6 points a game). Losing your starting point guard is always a big hit. Those other 5 though....

Sports is next man up and that's exactly how the Fever made it to within one game of the Finals
Well said sir...

Also, gotta give kudos to the GM for bringing in damn good players to fill the roster. The additions of Aari McDonald and Odysee Sims were great moves. It's time we have a conversation about Amber Fox being the GM of the Year in the WNBA.

I'm bringing up that fever team because the same core players are there and they got the #1 pick
