This isn't about just "going after WWE". This is about survival of the business IMO and increasing competition makes everyone better. This is about having an outlet for other wrestlers to pursue if they get signed to wwe and nothing happens to their character due to the lazy booking. If AEW just want to go for "specific niche", they will go bankrupt just like ECW did except it will be a slower death because Tony Khan has an endless (seemingly) supply of money. If Tony Khan was over ECW, they would have gone bankrupt a lot sooner. I just want there to be more competition because it's good for the business as a whole. WWE have people signed and aren't even using them because they just don't have the TV time. They could put on a show every day of the week and they still wouldn't be able to use all of their roster.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying AEW/RoH is perfect and Tony is doing a bang up job. I just hate the narrative that every wrestling promotion needs to do everything the WWE way. I see no point in that. If you like the WWE style, just watch WWE. They have enough money, and TV time to support the wrestling industry. To be fair Bully Ray does go after WWE a lot on how they do things too, so he's not all anti-AEW.

Yes competition is good and yes it's nice to see another large promotion around to give performers and fans an alternative. But they should just do it their way and find their own lane and perfect that.
