UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

This is really upsetting. As someone that’s done medical rotations in pediatrics, research, projects, published papers etc.

I can’t even begin to tell you how horrifying it is when you have “those” parents that think vaccines etc are poison to their kids or whatever beliefs, walk into to the ER, and their kids are sick as a dog with the nastiest looking stuff.

That big dummy coon is now saying that’s okay and worst those parents can send that kid to school to sit next to and interact with everyone at the school.

School is a festering ground. What happens when those kids are in the community interacting with elderly grandma and immunocompromised uncle etc?

This is bad! Really bad!

It really is, and right on time for cold/flu/Covid season :smh:

Not only are they removing mandates they're also removing funding for vaccines meaning even more people will be unable to be vaccinated since insurance companies and pharmacies will now have to charge for them.

Also, fyi I think you meant to quote another post.

Bullshit.

He didn't fail at all.

He accomplished everything he set out to do which was eliminate potential oversight and impending consequences which were already in motion under Biden and guaranteed to continue under Harris.

Additionally, under Trump he secured government contracts and set his companies up for success funded by the government for years to come with even less oversight.

As far as DOGE when you consider he's openly espoused Nazi beliefs which apparently includes eugenics I would say cutting funding to minorities, the elderly, the disabled, the sick, etc. which will inevitably result in death for many I'd say things are going exactly as he'd hoped.

That's the hidden agenda.

I think many in the U.S. have been in denial. We don't want to believe our lying eyes, or we tell ourselves it can't REALLY be as bad as some say it is.

They tried to play this off as a "Roman" salute.

True.

But I don't think they were in denial about what they heard or saw.

They just didn't think it applied to them.

Like the Latinos who thought Trump was only referring to the "bad hombres" when speaking if deportations not realizing he views the majority of them in that light.

Or the poor disenfranchised whites who don't realize people like Trump and Musk loathe them almost as much as they do minorities.

I agree.

My first gig out of college, I worked with a lot of 20-30ish year old Mexicans.

Some were darker than me, yet referred to themselves as "white".

It was entertaining to listen to their conversations, especially the ones where the white girls made it clear to the Mexican chicks that NOBODY in the U.S. considered them white.

I guess they thought they were exempt. Should've read the memo.

It’s not denial. It’s greed. They will believe because they want the riches that’s on their devices for themselves and they will sacrifice as many as possible for it. It’s easy as shit to live like a God in 2025. How many sons does Egypt have?

Exactly. The Jews should've fucked up Musk after that Nazi salute. But, here we are.
