“When I was 14, I sat in front of the TV watching Dirk Nowitzki carry the flag at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing. Back then I thought: how cool, there’s no greater honor. It's a great honor, but for me it will never be the same as for Dirk. I will never receive the same love in this country, because I am dark-skinned.”

Some players just never know when to shut the fuck up and take more time to develop a deeper understanding of global and societal issues.

He sound stupid. Rich as fuck though.

He didn't win anything. Vibes over championships :smh:

I guess the Sixers will retire Embid's Jersey too
You don't have to win a title to get your number retired.

Ain’t shit wrong with appreciating “vibes,” especially considering that usually only a few teams every decade win titles. It’s like saying because your neighbor’s kid was a valedictorian who went to Harvard and started a multimillion dollar business, your household can’t celebrate your kid graduating as salutatorian.

Imagine the Jazz not retiring Malone and Stockton’s numbers!

You won’t be loved like Dirk because….you’re Dennis Schroeder the fuck? You ain’t Dirk…

Germany don't get down like that, plus you're not Dirk dummy

Dwyane Wade didn’t hold back when addressing NBA fans who think playing pickup ball gives them the right to judge pros.“That’s the disconnect between fans and hoopers. You fans, y’all actually think y’all know what it’s like because y’all hoop… and that’s really, really disrespectful to the craft.”Wade reminded everyone that hooping in a gym is nothing like performing under the bright lights when the “popcorn is popping.”For a 3x champ and Hall of Famer like Wade, fans need to understand one thing: enjoying the game doesn’t mean you’ve lived the grind.Do you agree with Wade, are fans crossing the line when they disrespect the game?
