They traded Caruso who was a valuable member of OKC, when they couldn't play Giddey in the playoffs, because he couldn't shoot
They traded him straight up....not a draft pick included for a team that has 500 of them
They could have gotten more if they traded Caruso at the trade deadline when everyone wanted him
Now you don't find him worthy of paying him $30 mil a year....so what are you going to do, let him walk or trade him at the deadline?
Coby was the only good move they made.
Didn't trade Lonzo at the deadline and get more for him. Instead you trade him for another player who can't fucking shoot who Cleveland couldn't even play.

Caruso is a role player. Hr was a better fit for OKC than he was for Chicago.
Giddey is a good player and was a bad fit for OKC.

Caruso was playing at the end of games locking down players. What is Giddey if they couldn't even play him in playoff games?
Giddey played good at the end of the season in essentially garbage minutes because their season was over, and they still don't want to pay him. What does that tell you? There isn't a market to set, he's a restricted free agent and it would only be in the $30's that he wants. He's only 22, right? You traded for a player you don't even trust to pay long term.
and Lonzo had a market, because he's a good player when he was healthy.
Like I said Giddey was a bad fit when you got SGA dominating usage and he’s not a catch and shoot guy. Then factor in the emergence of J Will. Thunder were full of guys who graded well on both sides of the ball. He just was a bad fit. Caruso meanwhile plays defense and is a proper 3 and D guy.
Hes a restricted free agent next offseason which means if a team wants him they can offer him a contract and the Bulls can match. They want to let other teams set the market and they will match if they want to retain him.
And the Bulls were in the mix for the play in tournament thanks to how he was playing after they traded Lavine. Plus Coby was balling too and Vuc.
As far as Lonzo goes he can’t play over 20 minutes and has played 70 games since 2021. Be for real who trading for that unless he’s being given away? I don’t even know why Cavs did it I guess to get rid of Okoro contract?
