Right. You gotta be able to develop these guys as well. That's why I want the Steelers to look closely at Will Howard. Don't ignore him and assume you have to get one next year. You may already have your franchise guy on the roster.

Because one thing you can’t measure on film is heart and resilience. You can see arm strength on film but that’s 30 percent of the battle.
Interested to see what that year 2 does…that year 2 has whipped some guys ass.

Shit you should be. I don't think the year 2 jinx is about anything the players do I just think it happens. I don't think CJ Stroud did anything wrong. Just part of the development it seems. Jayden got some legs on him so he might fair better then the other ones.
Houston OL was terrible last year and they didn’t do anything to address that.
It does happen, but it helps to surround your franchise QB with some protection. Seems like they haven’t learned

For what it's worth he's been very impressive in camp. All he can do is present himself whenever he gets a chance. Steelers need to play this right and just not assume the savior at QB is in next years draft because the media says so.
It was shitty the year before when he was a rookie too though.

Not only did none of Houston’s young offensive linemen manage to improve, but some showed signs of regression in 2024. Out of the 11 players who logged snaps on the Texans' offensive line, eight earned PFF overall grades below 65.0 this season.
The offensive line gave up 180 pressures — including 33 sacks — on 663 pass plays, leading to a 22nd-ranked 83.9 PFF pass-blocking efficiency rating.
Best player: Laremy Tunsil
Despite the struggles of those around him, Tunsil remained one of the best pass-blocking offensive linemen in the NFL. His 88.6 PFF pass-blocking grade ranked fifth among offensive tackles in 2024.
