After a while it makes Dems complicit to what the GOP does, imo. It seems intentional at this point. Cali, NY, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, Jersey, Mass, and Maryland should have been gerrymandered their districts long ago.
It's almost as if local and midterm elections matter. We're stuck with the old and feckless guard because the populace is intellectually lazy and politically ignorant. Perfect for a GOP rising.

I don't get people so worried about Vance.
Vance is not a cult leader and no way he holds the Republican Party under his thumb the way trump does.
He's beholden to the Tech-billionaires and will create that vision. He personally doesn't have an agenda. He's not lazy and answers to their beckoned call.
But if they thought Vance had Trump's sway, they would have made him President.
There is no way Vance can frighten the Freedom caucus into voting for big deficits. Republicans can barely lose a couple members on each vote. And no one in Congress is afraid of Vance.
No one is but once they completely change the rules for a dictatorship, Trump can kick the bucket and this cowardly puppet can be installed.
