R.I.P. Malcolm-Jamal Warner 54 - Dies in Costa Rica

I'm still in shock, it just shows how quick life can be and how precious it is.

Its just...bro. My heart hurts. Like I said I actually got friends and family texting me about this. I was a Theo and Dwayne clone coming up. I dressed in those sweaters. I wanted to go to NYU. I got his haircuts. I've said this multiple times through the years he made and Kadeem made being a smart dark skin brother COOL. That was VERY important when I was coming up. It was okay to be smart.

I was talking to friends recently about who we idolized coming up. Who looking back was way more influential on your development they they any business being. For better or Worse.

Cosby Show and A Different World made me want to be a father and go to college.

Damn man, this is fucked up!

I bet he went through what I went through a few summers ago... he got into one of those riptide undercurrents and that shit pulled him out further and under.

I shared my story here.

RIP Brother Malcolm.
I just read your story, which I'm glad you made it out alive to tell us.

Be safe

I agree man 1000%, he was an idol and a positive Black image for all of us growing up.

And in his real life he carried that strong Black man title and carried it and himself with class and respect.

This one hurts…

Your story is fucking insane. Glad you're still here. It's really easy to panic when the water is overpowering you.

Wearing my Gordon Gartrell this weekend in Theo's honor. All jokes aside, watched dude grow up before my eyes on Cosby show, his poetry and jazz endeavors. Never heard no negative or disparaging things about him. Didn't know him personally, but feel like I lost a first cousin. Hell, he was all of our cousin. R.I.P to a good dude, Theodore Aloysious Huxtable B.K.A. Malcolm Jamal Warner
