I'm still in shock, it just shows how quick life can be and how precious it is.
Malcolm was a regular among the jazz and spoken word scene in Atlanta. I performed with him several times, even had him at my house a few times. He was a cool dude, very down to earth. This is tragic.
Its just...bro. My heart hurts. Like I said I actually got friends and family texting me about this. I was a Theo and Dwayne clone coming up. I dressed in those sweaters. I wanted to go to NYU. I got his haircuts. I've said this multiple times through the years he made and Kadeem made being a smart dark skin brother COOL. That was VERY important when I was coming up. It was okay to be smart.
I was talking to friends recently about who we idolized coming up. Who looking back was way more influential on your development they they any business being. For better or Worse.
Cosby Show and A Different World made me want to be a father and go to college.
