We got some cuts coming up. Looking back on it..I'm not sure why we signed Spencer Dinwiddie but we do need more veterans on the team. One of the biggest issues i had is that while Lamelo has been great, he hasn't had a veteran guard on the team to mentor him. I remember when Ramon Sessions was here, he helped a great deal with our young guards IMO. He was also productive coming off the bench. I'm fine with Kalkbrenner and Plumlee, and I would even try Diabate at Center in spurts. I'm not saying we are OKC but we have good depth and with Colin Sexton and Tre Mann re-signing, we shouldn't fall apart when LaMelo ends up on his annual sabatical of games missed due to injury. East is wide open so why not us?
Spot on about lack of veteran presence. Being a small market team was always going to make us a turnstile for journeymen on the court and in the office. It feels like the entire franchise is learning on the job and there isn't an established culture to aid in working towards cohesion. Until we make gains towards rectifying that we are going to be woefully inefficient regardless of talent.

I really hate that y’all didn’t get Wemby. I think most people wanted to see Melo and Wemby. The NBA could’ve rigged that shit up just like they did Dallas
I think it worked out great Spurs look lethal. Melo is a good young player but he ain’t one of them ones. Hes not getting proper coaching or development. Feel like Lavar prepared him and then the league just letting him go. He needed a Popovich to tune his game.

I’d say not yall because of years wasted. Wasted too many years so I think the development is coming slow. The injuries to Miller and Ball.

There’s so many teams with so much young talent….Wiz, Rockets, Magic, OKC…..but shit you never know. Sometimes it’s not about the names it’s about the coaching…..see Pacers.

Spurs with Wemby, Castle and Harper….my goodness. It worked out great for them. But yep, development wise Wemby is in a great place even it isn’t a “sexy” choice.

Yeah Melo in Charlotte reminds of Poole when he was in DC. Freedom to ball but no growth.

WNBA players make nearly 50 times less than NBA players in the All-Star game. The salary discrepancy between WNBA and NBA players is nothing new.For context, Caitlin Clark, on a rookie-scale contract, makes less than $80,000 a year. The highest-paid stars barely hit $200,000 a year in the W.The lowest-paid players in the NBA last season were 2-way players, and they got paid $578,577, according to Sports Illustrated. But if you think their yearly salaries are low, you'll never believe how much they lowball their All-Stars compared to their NBA counterparts. Participate in WNBA All-Star game: $2,575 Player from winner of NBA All-Star tournament: $125,00 Player from 2nd place of NBA All-Star tournament: $50,000 Player from 3rd and 4th place of NBA All-Star tournament: $25,000The $2,575 fee would barely cover the cost of airplane fare, food, and accommodation for their families over the weekend. One lucky WNBA player can make double that if she's named the All-Star Game MVP.The winner of the 3-point contest and skills competition also gets an additional $2,575.If a WNBA player can bag MVP and win one of those competitions, she would take home $7,725.That's still 3x less than what NBA players make for simply showing up to the All-Star Game. There's a good chance that things will change eventually. But for now, it remains pennies on the dollar, even for the league's biggest stars.

Jury is still out on Charles Lee for me. We will see how he does this year, but we should be good enough to a least be in the playoff hunt at the end.

Man I didn’t want to say it but yeah when I think of Melo I think of Poole. Hes better but yeah that same recklessness.

Yeah that’s the thing I don’t know much about the coach but if he can get them young boys to believe you never know. Celtics, Pacers, Bucks being downgraded is good I mean I wish guys wasn’t hurt but we get to see more teams saying “why not us” instead of tanking.

There's no reason to do this. When this starts happening people start tuning out with the us against them thing.

Wemby makes a lot less than Booker :dunno:

NBA salaries didn't get to where it is overnight and the league has existed for like 80 years.

Yeah they are trying to run before they crawl. You got momentum. Don’t throw it away trying to rush things.

Pointless article and pointless post. There's no comparison between the two other than they both play basketball.

They should be comparing their pay with the pay of overseas women's basketball players.

I don’t even know what they doing this gotta be ROC Nation or someone why would you put another relationship on display and overexpose it?

I didn’t think of that angle— kind of makes sense but what’s in it for Klay? They’re cutting him a check?

I think the more likely explanation is that he is pussy whipped. It’s so dumb for him to open himself up to this sort of speculation. I don’t know shit about this woman so I don’t know if she is usually this public about her relationships or if she is exploiting him or if it is an agreement as you suggested.

Also I’m angry that this is the closest thing to a semi-Warriors related development since the draft other than Kuminga being delusional and unwanted. :smh:
