The business ventures are a testament to human growth that most did not desire to and or just didn't want to follow. I mean dude grew up in the projects and has to be worth $300 million plus.

hell i don't even know HOW to buy a album if i wanted too...LOL

I must be getting old cuz I had to google how to buy this shit. I’m not buying it but I was curious cuz I didn’t think people were able to buy physical music anymore. Don’t flame me, I literally have 3 streaming platforms and that’s how I listen to shit.:dunno:

I used to buy every single cd on Tuesdays on release day from Sam Goody, Best Buy etc back in high school. Had that big ass black case of cd’s in the whip lol. For my DJ Smoke shit, I downloaded.

Now I just stream everything. I don’t own not one song that I didn’t download from back in the day smh

yo that All Things Considered beat is crazy !!!

That’s my favorite track of the album. Pharrell had to remind niggas who he is on that one. Everybody was tripping about the Neptunes split. That nigga Pharrell turned into Roman Reigns on that one and that track with Nas Let God Sort Em Out: Chandeliers.

Yes he did lol. I think the album is solid. I think im split on the beats . Some I like and some I don’t. I need to relisten to it…

The culture became ok with rappers not rapping. And the industry wants them to be content creators. THIS is what the Kendrick CONTROL verse was all about. STOP BEING FUCKING SOCIALITES AND SPIT!
I love when kendrick and pusha T call these fake ass rappers out who spend more time on social media instead of writing making quality music.

Well Nikki started being crazy before kdot lol; Drake should have left that short nigga alone! And Wayne well, RIP…

giphy.gif

Yeah but Nicki has gone EXTRA crazy. So has Wayne So has Drake...

Kendrick the Bishop of Hip Hop taking all these mutants powers to the extreme absorbing them and throwing them right back 1000 fold.

I’m not mad at the review! I think he has some valid points! Some points are extreme though…

Its the extreme things
the inaccurate things
the entirely personal and bias things...

that make the entire thing

trash.

If this was submitted to me back in the day?

I wouldn't call in his supervisor.

I'd personally call his parents to explain to me how they raised such a disappointment and allowed them to read and write so poorly.

Yuuuck.

Yea the extreme things do take it to another level; and make the review kinda ridiculous…

That's a pretty terrible take. Pitchfork is the worst place for Hip Hop reviews going back to 2010 or so. I don't think the album is a classic, but it's way better than a 6.5, . I bet they listened to the unmastered leaked version :lol2:.

It's a 7.5/8 in my estimation, due to Pusha and Nas being the highlights.

fair.

I'm on 8.5 but we on the same vibe.

Not only killing them ; he killed all those rappers who worked with Drake also lol! Everyone staying far away from him lol and or if they do work with him it’s been trash…

I’m the same way!! I am thinking of getting a record player though and starting a vinyl collection…

Okay you know how feel about THAT part.

I don't like cockroaches. We gotta be REAL careful here. Or we gonna have another Tekashi sh*t scar the culture

Bad or Good? Drake helped a lot of people. We not about to lie on that part. Even Kendrick and Push and Buddens and Future acknowledge that publicly. (Don't forget Pusha specifically spoke on Travis snaking Drake and how NON RAPPERS make these things escalate unnecessarily)

All these ball players for example - WHO DON'T RAP (word to Push) need to be careful in this beef stuff and don't cry later.

I don't like disloyalty.

Yeah the industry the industry. No loyalty But by THAT logic then Drake aint do nothing wrong. We accepting fuckery.

But apparently these fans CLAIMING we past that. So yeah okay then NOW we holding people accountable.

Ross is a snake, Rocky hands aint clean and Kanye and all the rest who were laying in wait for Drake to fail.

Kendrick isn't COSIGNING that.

He did NOT want nor NEED anyone else.

All these dudes to me are WORSE than Drake, they cowards and waited for someone ELSE to speak up and try to ride coattails (which apparently they did their entire careers) And dissing Drake after Kendrick? Got them NO WINS.

Kenny cosigned PUSHA/CLIPSE.

He aint even pop out during the Joey Badass sh*t.

I really respect the people who stayed neutral or stayed where they were at. We can't DISCOUNT loyalty. We just can't DO THAT.

Because trust and believe those same rats gonna flip first chance they get.

I believe that is why Kendrick just let it play out and didn't really cosign ANYONE.

Cause these aren't SERIOUS people.

I am not giving them no shine.

I personally think Drake helped a lot of people but he also screwed a lot of people. It’s like golden handcuffs! They are golden but they still handcuffs; and I think that’s the perfect analogy for Drake…

But bro I can connect with life long industry folk and they will tell you that applies to 95% of the industry.

And real talk? MORE than just screwed people over with no reciprocation.

Clipse were talking about bitch ass rappers WAY before Drake even existed.

And we gonna act like AK etc and still out here? Now there are legit AI artists. Streaming still stealing money. Grammys considering including AI artists in the award system. Timbaland cosigning AI. These so called hip hop podcasts thriving and are NOT helping the culture at all.

The greatest thing Kendrick did and should get a Nobel Prize for? He is trying to establish BALANCE in hip hop again.

And I thought that would be impossible.

But with with Nas & Mass Appeal and the Clipse and Jay Z creating a new GENRE / CTERGORY of VINTAGE HIP HOP

We may survive.

And you are right people have always been getting screwed! It seems like he took it to another level; probably because he had more power than most and he could; jealousy was there to! But Kdot being able to help balance is amazing!!! Tyler he there also! And the labels being behind him is also crazy!! They truly don’t care one way or another; as long as it generates money for them! I’m just happy that there’s still real hip hop that can be pushed!
