BREAKING: Jaw-dropping report reveals that Donald Trump has cost the American economy at least $29 billion as millions of international travelers avoid the United States due to Trump’s fascist policies.
And it gets so much worse…
“While other nations are rolling out the welcome mat, the U.S. government is putting up the ‘closed’ sign,” said Julia Simpson, president and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council.
According to a report from the WTTC, the United States was the only country out of the 184 studied that will likely see a drop in tourist spending in 2025. Such an astonishing feat of economic self-destruction could only have been accomplished by a president as profoundly incompetent as Donald J. Trump.
“This is a wake-up call for the U.S. government,” added Simpson. “Without urgent action to restore international traveler confidence, it could take several years for the U.S. just to return to pre-pandemic levels of international visitor spend.”
As it turns out, fascism is bad for business. Trump’s ICE enforcers have terrorized innocent tourists in numerous highly publicized incidents and our nation’s reputation is in tatters as a result of the MAGA tariffs. His illegal bombing of Iran only deepened the problem.
Forbes reports that Oxford Economics’ Tourism Economics division had similiar findings. In their latest client note, they described “sentiment headwinds” that contributed towards a 20.2% drop in visits from Canada and a 4.9% drop from Western Europe. They blamed Trump’s tariffs, travel bans, cruel immigration policies, and authoritarian rhetoric.
“Given we’re halfway through the year and we’ve seen these impacts, we don't know when the stiffest headwind is, but I think it does stay sustained,” Aran Ryan, director of industry studies at Tourism Economics, said to Forbes.
“We’re generally assuming that this persists for a while and that some of it is going to persist throughout the end of the administration,” he added.
Worst still, Tourism Economics had originally predicted a 9% increase in tourism to the United States in 2025. That would have broken down to roughly $16.3 billion for the American economy. Then, the “Trump Effect” struck.
And who can blame the rest of the world? Until Trump and his Republican cronies are voted out of office, America will keep getting uglier, more brutal, and less welcoming. Of course foreigners would prefer to spend their money elsewhere.
