I was waiting for u cuzzo!!!

He overachieved… went from cams spliff star to making a hit single to being a pioneer for that love and hip hop show.. he has build some type of cult following.. went from doing patty cake on b.e.t to some of those things.. nobody expected that from him.. now the other stuff you said ehhhh let’s not get carried away
Name your favorite Spliff Starr verse. Check my posting history and you will see Confessions of Fire being the worst cd I have ever listened to in my life. There are 2 specific songs that made me angry having had to listen to them: Me, My Moms, and Jimmy and Me and My Boo. I hated those songs. The execution of the tracks missed the mark and infuriated me for almost 30 damn years.

It wasn't until Beanie and Eve that I felt captured that sort of relationship that made sense to me.

This isn't shocking because what can't be accounted for is how many younger people are put onto older artists by their parents or other people in their lives.

For example I always played and put my nephews onto Nas and others of that era so they definitely know of him and some listen to his music.

No different than my being put onto Motown of the 60s, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding or 70s music like the Isleys, EWT, Marvin, etc.

IMO the value of being more known/popular depends on the reason for it.

It wouldn't surprise if more younger individuals know Jimmy over Nas but the more important question is why would they know you and secondly why they may not know him.

For Jimmy I can see him being known more but for the wrong reasons since he carries himself like someone in their early 20’s including the constantly starting or engaging in ignorance including disrespecting people and starting unnecessary bullshit.

They may also know him from reality television which isn't anything to brag about.

To contrast that Nas keeps a low profile outside if releasing music and the occasional interview to promote it.

Funk master flex said this is summer jam not spliff star jam.. he said this for headliners not hypeman and side nigs, go holler at spliff star and maybe they can make a concert dedicated to ya
Him, Flav and Spliff Star should do an album together and call it "Fear of a Wack Planet"

Why the homie spliff catching strays?
