Ironheart lands its lead writer. I'm ready to see this one.

Why dont they just drop the whole season tho? Or do it weekly. The way they are doing it now is going to kill the show.
Naaa it's just the opposite..if the show doesn't screen well or they already know its ass they just drop multiple episodes..

If they know they have a hit they drip feed you a week at a time..

Actually, she flopped in the comic books, too. Look my thing is, why do all the black superheros have to be some side kick or a black version of a white charecter and when we do get heros they are generic as fuck, lame names and lame costumes, why not make black superheros with cool names and cool costumes with unique powers to stand on their own. This is what separates Black Panther and Storm from 90% of the heroes out there! They know it, but refuse to make these guys that their children would idolize the way our kids look up to Batman, Superman, and Thor.
I’m not understanding your criticism so Batman and Ironman are cool names but Ironheart is different?

I’m trying to see where you are coming from because I think there’s a good discussion to be had. I just don’t know if your criticisms fit here.

Yeah they dropped that damn Echo like it was nothing and I didn’t think it was bad but guess it didn’t register with viewers.

Go watch Daredevil and then get back to me on that... but to answer your questions, some of the scenes just didnt add up to me; comics and or superhero movies have unbelievable shit in them; so im not talking about that aspect; but for example, aint no billion dollar corporations and or owners moving around with shitty security or surveillance! Especially after they all know what this crew was doing; so again it was solid but i need to see more...
Daredevil the nigga with super strength there blind but whoop everyone ass? :lol:

So if I’m understanding you you want it to continue the same tired comic book shit we’ve been seeing over the years?

"tired comic shit" is how we even know what marvel is.

I'm simply saying that you can be both original, yet keeps a story that most people can resonate with.

Good writing can hide troupes because the story will be compelling enough that you actually root for the bad guys in some cases. Go look at the wire, sopranos, hell even more recently in Shogun. Good writing is what Disney lacks right now, and this show is a prime example of it.

How so? There’s nothing realistic about Daredevil I’m a fan but to me comic adaptions work because of how unrealistic it is.
Take out the fighting scenes and his super powers; because we know thats a part of comics; what wasnt real in the story lines? what could you not see happening in real life?

Yeah but understand The Wire and Sopranos are two of the greatest shows ever. High bar.

I mean if you take all that out then yeah it’s a boring lawyer show. So yeah I’d agree take all that out it’s realistic but then you are left with a court room drama.

Hold on man lol….there have been thousands of shows and The Wire and Sopranos is top notch television. Greatest shows ever.

I’m not even sure if you can even do that with a superhero show adapted from comics.

Disney is spending super bowl qb money on these shows, but getting Kirk Cousins results...

Go tell DC that story with Penguin...

Disney have no excuses....

bro the wire and sopranos? shit regular shows cant even do that llol

Do you think Daredevil was handled correctly by being released one episode at a time?

I waited until the season wrapped before watching so I could marathon the whole season in a weekend. And tbh, I thought Disney+ Daredevil was the weakest by far. If I had tried to watch it week to week, I don't think I would have made it to the end.

But going back to the discussion thread on here, it appears most people loved Daredevil Rehashed.

I just don't seem to be on the same page with most BGOL members when it comes to these Disney/Star Wars/Marvel shows.

Im a man that have 300 daredevil comics, and love the character.
I would say that Daredevil BA had an identity crisis. Again, bad writing from Disney.
Bad writing. That show had bad everything. Netflix Daredevil's greatest claim to fame was the fight choreography and right off bat, Disney Daredevil starts with a fight in dark obscured by CGI smoke that ends
with the anticlimactic death of a major character

And that was the first 10 minutes of the seasons.

honestly, that first part in episode 1, and the punisher scenes were the highlights of the show. You can tell it was suppose to be some type of other show entirely most of the season. I did not like how they push Matt from his religion because of "reasons" too.

BTW, the worst part of that first part of episode 1 was that "spoiler".

They wanted him to have an identity crisis! it wasnt bad writing; the dude was conflicted and anyone who is conflicted will have an identity crisis! you guys need to understand what bad writing is...

You can; Disney has some really good TV shows that are comics so it can be done! Iron Heart is solid; I need to see more though...

The biggest one that had potential *and they fucked it up* was Wandavision. The premise of that show was interesting as fuck, but they had to pull the bullshit at the end. Other than that, and Xmen 97, most of their marvel TV shows been average to bad.

Disney isn't good at making TV.

I'm saying the show had an identity crisis. There's a more congruent way of telling that story that would be gratifying to the audience. They chose to take the time to introduce what they want the audience to pay attention to. Instead of making a compelling story that would have resonated with most of their fans.

Man, WandaVision was great to me; the acting that she did in that show was crazy!! And story was good as well; I aint got no complaints about that show at all; You sound crazy if you think the shows were average to bad; lets run them down:

WandaVision = great
Falcon and the Winter Soldier = good to great
What If all 3 seasons = good to great
Daredevil Born again = good good
Agatha all Along = good
Xmen 97= great
Moon Knight = solid to good(great acting)
Spiderman = good
Echo = solid
Loki season 1 and 2 = great
Secret Invasion = terrible
She Hulk = ok ( but I only watch like 2 episodes)
Hawkeye = solid
Ms Marvel = I didnt watch at all; wasnt for me; But the highest rated TV show lol; so it was for someone

And this doesnt include Werewolf by night=good; I Am Groot=good, Guardians Holiday Special=good, so either you a big time hater or just dont know how to watch and understand TV shows; but there is noway anyone is saying the TV SHows have been majority bad; its just a flat out ridiculous comment/statement.... @playahaitian

I disagree entirely with this statement...

I just fundamentally disagree with this.

To keep it 100, I think most of these shows would have worked better if they were made for FX instead of Disney plus.

You have to understand where I'm coming from. I'm coming from a comic book fan perspective, and I lived through the best TV era since the 70's. My expectations on TV shows is going to be high. Marvel have some of the greatest stories ever in comics, and it seems like Disney is allergic to that library.

The one thing I do know, the shows on Disney Plus are not getting ratings. You can call me wrong all you want, numbers are on my side.

Honestly, you can ignore me if you like. We're not going to see eye to eye on this.

Loki Season 2 had a strong start, with its premiere being the second most-watched season premiere on Disney+ in 2023, behind only The Mandalorian season 3. The premiere garnered 10.9 million views globally within three days. The season finale also saw strong viewership, with 11.2 million global views in the same timeframe, a 3% increase from the premiere.

Loki season 1 had a strong start on Disney+, with the premiere drawing 890,000 U.S. households on its first day, according to Deadline. This made it the biggest U.S. premiere day audience for any Marvel Disney+ series at the time. Over the first five days, it was estimated that 2.5 million households watched the premiere. However, viewership declined throughout the season, with the finale being watched by 1.9 million households.

"WandaVision" was a popular series for Disney+, with its premiere ranking sixth in the Nielsen streaming rankings. It earned 4.8 billion minutes-watched during its nine-episode run, averaging 600 million minutes per week according to observer.com, with the finale week reaching 924 million. Some reports indicate it was the most-watched Disney+ series of 2021 based on viewing time.

"The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" had a strong debut on Disney+, becoming the streaming service's most-watched series premiere ever, according to Deadline. While Disney+ didn't release specific viewership numbers, they stated it surpassed both the premiere of WandaVision and the second season premiere of The Mandalorian. Nielsen data indicated the series ranked second among original streaming series, behind Netflix's Ginny & Georgia, with 855 million minutes viewed in the week of April 12-18, according to Deadline. The series also saw a steady rise in viewership throughout its six-episode run.

The second I saw the gay dude I thought that. They were just asking to be controversial.
I thought that, but it's something that could easily be ignored. As long as they don't have that gay mother fucker kissing anybody I don't care. The first time they want to throw that shit in our face, this shit is done. I do not want to see two men kissing
