Ironheart lands its lead writer. I'm ready to see this one.

Just watched 3 ep. Show is good. Ep 3 is the best tho. The other two were slow here and there. But overall its not a bad show. I will keep watching. This one of the better marvel tv show.

I havent seen miss marvel yet. But for now this is number two show after falcon and winter soldier.
 
Why dont they just drop the whole season tho? Or do it weekly. The way they are doing it now is going to kill the show.

I think Thorne is a pretty good actor. In this anyway, the only other thing I'd seen her in was Wakanda, and she didn't stand out in that muddle.

Thankfully, we've avoided the usual tropes so far. She's a fish out of water but...not really. I've been to Chi many times and besides it being a TV show, no punches pulled.

The AI with a glitch because of the real personal trauma is a masterstroke. They'll probably resolve it along with Riri's panic attacks but all this lends, to my mind, a sense of reality to the show. She's just a (brilliant) girl from the hood grinding to reach her dream.

The supporting cast are defined and thankfully not the usual sidekicks. And I've always thought the girl from G.L.O.W. was hot asf. Tony is a NY homie and I've seen him in lots of stuff from off-off to Broadway. Always solid.

Speaking of hot, I think Thorne is sneaky sexy. The kind of girl you don't know is hot til you know she's hot.

The script is good, not full of the usual cliches. I am not familiar with the comic characters at all so I'm unbiased in that respect.

The one issue I have is the music. I realize it is the soundtrack of their lives but I fear it is too niche and so won't age well at all.

The best thing I can say is I'm eager to see the next episodes.

I tried to muscle through it, but every time that weirdo came through flapping around like one of those inflatable things at a car wash I had to fast forward. I got tired of fast forwarding. Deleted off the Plex. Gonna pass on this one.

This is some bullshit. This show good as fuck. After I watched the 3 episodes available I usually go to the internet to check for things I missed Easter eggs etc, everybody popular as far as this line of things go are bombing the show. I couldn't figure out why. Black and white alike. Thumbnails with the oh This is wack face. It's kinda shameful.

Either Black people don't understand eg there's too much thinking involved, or they ain't Black to begin with. yt people are going to universally hate it because it's a Black Universe plain and simple; told from the Black perspective, which they don't and have no desire to understand.

The clues were all there in anything RC has done to this point. F&WS leaned heavily into the injustice suffered just by being born Black in this country, but because Bucky was the sympathetic apologist, it went down a little smoother with yt. This here is all gas no brakes.

Love Craft County - top tier

I am really confounded on the love for this one. It should have come out right after Wakanda Forever. It would have been much better received.

The other two shows that I mentioned are timeless classics.

And I stand by The Acolyte being better than Iron Heart.

Plans for the series were first announced back in 2021, and filming for the series wrapped back in November 2022. However, the series has been delayed for nearly three years, with reshoots having taken place between February and April 2024. I

Caught the first 3 episodes . It was aight. 7 like the core cast didn't care too much for the hoods Crew. Waiting for the final 3 episodes to hit cam sites
 
Why didn't they conduct some field research and interview actual black women who when to MIT and have them give some input, instead of making her come off like a character from Degrassi. For example, why not model Ironheart from a real-life intelligent black person? Oh, I forgot the Hollywood taboo of not allowing blacks to appear too intelligent, plus I bet they thought that their target audience my be turned off by a "black nerd" being the protagonist... Is this true????

It’s Disney and it’s based on a comic. Yall be overly critical of our characters but not nearly the same energy on Its white counterparts….

Look the premise of the character in the comics was bad. Ironheart's backstory is damn near a villain origin.

One of the biggest issues I have with Disney Marvel is the lack of creativity when it comes to their characters right now.

Riri motivations are bad for a hero's arc. Everything is about "i want to be great" "i want to be iconic" etc. It simply doesn't work for any hero.

The best heroes trip over the fact that they can do heroic shit. They nearly all have a moral conundrum about their role of being a hero. Can I save everyone? Do I have to kill someone to save a group of people? Why am I doing this in the first place?

But, what do I know? I just collected thousands of comic books for over my lifetime of 40 years. Who wants to listen to a black man that likes pussy in disney anyway?

Actually, she flopped in the comic books, too. Look my thing is, why do all the black superheros have to be some side kick or a black version of a white charecter and when we do get heros they are generic as fuck, lame names and lame costumes, why not make black superheros with cool names and cool costumes with unique powers to stand on their own. This is what separates Black Panther and Storm from 90% of the heroes out there! They know it, but refuse to make these guys that their children would idolize the way our kids look up to Batman, Superman, and Thor.

Go watch Daredevil and then get back to me on that... but to answer your questions, some of the scenes just didnt add up to me; comics and or superhero movies have unbelievable shit in them; so im not talking about that aspect; but for example, aint no billion dollar corporations and or owners moving around with shitty security or surveillance! Especially after they all know what this crew was doing; so again it was solid but i need to see more...
