The crazy shit is everyone got core like that now…what sets them apart is they have Embid but if he gonna stay hurt they are fucked. NBA is about to be interesting. Hawks got a solid young core, Raptors got one, Magic got one, Rockets…..even shitty teams like Wiz…
Embiid well get hurt again, I've accepted that fact.

I'm just saying the sixers can move on from embiid and PG without being affected losing them both since the team will be fine.

I've been saying lately they need to build around the younger core instead of the older core who have nothing left in the tank besides being injury prone and missing a lot of games.

I don’t know why more people ain’t talking about Edward’s. Dude can hoop

He just don't get enough minutes because of the sixers talent being top heavy and nurse don't like playing the younger guys much unless it's garbage time minutes when the sixers got a big lead.

Yeah but Embid is key. He is why yall can talk about winning the East next season or be in that conversation. We are talking about a top 10 talent. Same level as Giannis if healthy. Most dominant big man in the league….and I get it injuries….but if he can take it easy and play enough games to where he can be healthy for a playoff run? Philly right there because I don’t see any East team clear cut favorites I will never fall for Cavs again until they unleash Mobley.

I mean we tried to manage him and it didn't work, he still got injured. I'm saying it's a gamble regardless what the sixers do to try to keep him healthy..So, i wouldn't the surprised if he gets injured again, I don't believe it running it back which I understand why they want to give it another shot..

Interesting facts about the Achilles tears...

I honestly think it's because these kids now spend so much time and focus on one sport vs having SEASONS of sports. Different sports call for the body to react differently and it's better for overall strength and conditioning in the long run.

When i was in school playing sports it was football season, then basketball season, then track or baseball... my coach made us play 2 to keep conditioning up. Some of us played 3 or all 4 and stayed busy year round.

Now kids don't even play pick up ball anymore... especially not the elite ones... there were kids that I used to hate see coming to the court to hoop because of how good they were... now those kids are in aau camps, specialized training with coaches sharpening their 1 on 1 game and shooting, etc. They play organized ball aau a high level year round... and that's just added wear and tear on the body.

Yeah ain’t nothing you can really do to fix it. Hopefully he can I don’t want to see him go out like that without at least another run.

I just don’t know where he fits before I talk about him you gotta get past Maxey, McCain and Grimes unless they let Grimes go….
Those are all guards though.

Edward is a 6’8 wing and you can’t have enough wing players IMO.

Just strange folks never bring him up as one of the solid pieces on the team

Justin Edwards: $1,955,378 team option

The Sixers had no ability to sign Edwards long-term when converting the standout undrafted rookie from a two-way contract to a standard deal; instead they tacked on a second-year team option to maximize their control over the situation. And as time has gone on, Edwards has looked more critical to retain moving forward, flashing a tantalizing array of abilities as a 21-year-old wing with good size. The latest development has been Edwards' rapid growth as an on-ball scorer, where he is growing more comfortable by the game:

Having Edwards at this projected salary below $2 million would, of course, be a coup for the Sixers in 2025-26. But the possibility of declining the option and inking Edwards to a long-term deal that will in all likelihood still be extremely team-friendly is far more exciting than accepting the option for a very slight one-year discount. It would be very surprising if Edwards does not have his optioned declined by the Sixers in June to facilitate a multi-year contract that ties him to his hometown team for years to come.

To me him and Grimes would play the same position. But I mean I honestly don’t know because if Embid is the 5 and George is the 3? For me I’d want Grimes, McCain and Maxey as my 1,2,3…..assuming George would start at the 4 or Kelly Oubre if he’s not a free agent…

We at best saying what? He’s behind Embid, George, Grimes, McCain and Maxey?

Gonna be interesting because I don’t think Grimes comes back to be a 6th man.

He's never getting past maxey, Grimes and McCain, he'll always come off the bench.

Morey said he wanted to keep Grimes.

The issue was maxey and McCain being undersized against bigger players which vj and Edwards could help with that. The sixers needed some size and they always get out rebounded by dudes that aren't the same size. McCain isn't scared to get rebounds nor scared to get hit.

Edwards is not a player nurse see as a starter for the sixers and I feel he should get more minutes and not garbage time minutes but when you got other older players who are vets is who nurse trust the most which are the players Morey has gotten which hasn't worked out well.

And Grimes ain’t coming off the bench IMO. Maybe McCain would but either way all 3 should get burn. I don’t know what they do with George kind of got to play him don’t they?

I know grimes isn't coming off the bench but edwards will always be the out man out.

Morey needs to get rid of the dead weight on the team which is these old dudes who should be retiring right now.

Grimes deserve to be starter regardless.

So Jeff was saying why Philly didn’t need to draft ACE because Edward’s is a better player or atleast comparable to Ace which I agree. Philly signed him as a un-drafted rookie.

No one was saying he was better than those other players, but the team must value him as a solid piece since he was a 2 way player and signed a full contract at the end of the year.

Edward’s will be a big part of that rotation.

I'm glad the sixers didn't draft ACE because they already have that with edwards. So, I agree with you on that.

Yeah that last month or 2 when he was getting minutes because of injuries you could see he has some potential.
He deserves more minutes instead of getting minutes when a player goes down but morey and nurse like these old ass players.

They capping. They saying that because of how highly ranked Edwards was….Ace is nice. He has some things to work on but his ceiling is crazy. Philly would’ve taken him if he was acting right. They still got a solid player.
