UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

I say that everyday. It's like the US flipped a stupid switch & all of the dumbest people are in positions of power.

Even if we reduced our dependency on cheap China / Taiwan labor by 25%, the US does not have the infrastructure to even recapture that 25%!

We'd have to find someone else (Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala....some other country we can exploit) to fill most of that while we take another 3-6 yrs to retool or build new manufacturing facilities.

And by the time they're built they'll be at least 2 yrs behind whatever advances Taiwan/ China will have........

The common person doesn't want to read the writing on the wall. The US does not manufacture anymore. We provide services and experiences, preferably AI/ LLM based and with as little human interaction as possible.
