Iran causes significant damage to Haifa oil refinery, pipelines

An Israeli drone strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field caused limited damage, while Iranian missiles damaged pipelines at the Haifa oil refinery.

The Bazan Petroleum Company reported to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that Iranian missiles overnight had inflicted localized damage to pipelines and transmission lines at its Haifa Bay complex.

According to company statements, refining operations are continuing, but several facilities on-site were temporarily shut down. The company is currently assessing the impact of the damage on overall operations and working to resume activity at affected units.

There have been no reported casualties from the Haifa strike, but the damage underscores the increasing vulnerability of critical energy infrastructure amid rising operations.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had announced that Iran successfully targeted "Israel's" Haifa oil refinery on Saturday as it exacts the second phase of Operation True Promise 3.

In contrast minimal, if any, damage in Iran

Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Tehran confirmed that the Israeli aggression did not target any oil refineries south of the Iranian capital.

Tasnim and Fars news agencies had reported that an Israeli drone targeted a refinery in Iran's South Pars gas field on Saturday. The strike reportedly occurred in Phase 14 of the field, which Iran shares with Qatar across the Persian Gulf. If confirmed, this would represent the first known Israeli strike on Iran’s oil and natural gas infrastructure.

The site allegedly hit in South Pars is a strategically significant location, though early reports confirmed minimal physical damage. It is also equipped with air defense systems, part of a broader network that "Israel" has been attacking since Friday. There have been no confirmed reports of casualties from the strike.

Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades warns US against intervention in war on Iran

The Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq warned the US against intervening in the war on Iran, vowing to target American bases across the region if provoked.

The Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq issued a firm warning on Sunday, declaring that any US intervention in the war on Iran would trigger direct retaliation against American interests across the region.

In an official statement, the brigades emphasized that Iran does not require military assistance to confront the Israeli occupation, stating that the Islamic Republic "has enough men and capabilities to curb its aggression." However, the group affirmed that it is closely monitoring US military movements and would not hesitate to target American bases if the United States intervenes.

The statement also called on the Iraqi government, the Coordination Framework, and all "loyal opponents" to take decisive action to prevent the war from escalating further. Specifically, the brigades urged authorities to shut down the US embassy and expel US forces from Iraqi territory, labeling them as "the clearest and most dangerous threat to Iraq's security and the stability of the region."

This warning comes as the Israeli occupation continues its aggression against Iran, which began on June 13, 2025. In response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 3, targeting Israeli military and strategic facilities in what Tehran described as a calculated act of self-defense.

The Hezbollah Brigades' message reflects broader concerns among resistance factions that US involvement could further destabilize the region and escalate the already volatile confrontation between Iran and the Israeli occupation.

US vows to defend 'Israel'

After the massive attack on Iran, US officials reiterated that Washington was not involved in the attack. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that while the US had been informed in advance, the attacks were carried out independently by “Israel".

"We are not involved in strikes against Iran, and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region," Rubio said in an official statement. "Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense, Rubio added, although it was "Israel" that always initiated attacks against the Islamic Republic.

Rubio delivered a clear warning to Iran not to target American interests in response to the Israeli occupation's attack. His remarks came shortly after the United States ordered non-essential personnel to evacuate from several locations across the Middle East due to heightened security concerns.

"Let me be clear: Iran should not target US interests or personnel," Rubio said, without addressing whether Washington would defend "Israel" in the event of Iranian retaliation, departing from traditional US messaging that often emphasizes unwavering support for the Israeli regime. This support came directly from the US president himself.

“We will defend ourselves and defend Israel,” Trump said, as US Central Command (CENTCOM) is reportedly on high alert,

On a related note, earlier this week, Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, announced on June 11 that all US military bases across the region are within striking distance of Iranian missiles. The warning came amid growing regional tensions, before the Israeli attack on Iran.

“In case of any conflict, the US must leave the region because all its bases will be within our range,” Nasirzadeh told reporters at a cabinet meeting, adding that Iran would not differentiate between the bases and the host countries harboring them, emphasizing that any aggression would be met with decisive retaliation.

Ex-Israeli General warns of strategic defeat in war with Iran

Former Israeli General Amos Gilad warns that the war with Iran may end in strategic defeat for "Israel," citing US disengagement.

A former senior official in the Israeli Ministry of Security, Reserve Major General Amos Gilad, warned that the ongoing aggression on Iran could end in a strategic loss for "Israel". Speaking to Channel 12, Gilad expressed alarm over the deteriorating situation and questioned the wisdom of initiating the war without solid US backing.

Gilad voiced concern over Iran's capacity to retaliate, stating, “We may reach a situation where they continue to attack us. They understand, based on what the consul in New York, who is supposed to represent Israel, is saying, that the United States is not with us.”

He warned that if "Israel" finds itself isolated, Iran may accelerate its nuclear program. “Eventually, Iran will say, Israel attacked us, so we have no choice but to develop nuclear weapons. Our reward will be our defeat.”

Iran will fight back, Gilad warns

Gilad stressed that Iran would not back down easily, noting that the confrontation may last long and cause damage to "Israel’s" strategic posture. “The Iranians will fight, and it may take a long time. From their perspective, we have harmed their national honor,” he said.

He argued that "Israel" cannot dismantle Iran’s nuclear capabilities alone. “There is the Fordow site, which is deeply buried underground and requires American assistance,” he explained.

Criticism of political leadership, Trump strategy

Gilad criticized the lack of coherent political leadership, questioning the leadership's course of action. “What is the political leadership doing? We started the war, and now we’re asking Trump to intervene? Why would he? Is Trump obligated to us?”

He pointed to the absence of effective state institutions. “We don’t have a Foreign Ministry or other agencies; there’s just Netanyahu and Dermer! Did you coordinate with Trump?”

Gilad also dismissed characterizations of Trump as unpredictable. “That’s not true—he has a method. He’s very happy for others to do the work. He will fight until the last Israeli,” he warned. “He might join, but he said it himself: only if American soldiers are attacked. And they haven’t been.”

Strategic isolation, global dynamics

Gilad concluded that “Israel” is heading toward a counterproductive outcome. “The Iranians intend to continue launching rockets, and they may retain this ability. Countries like China and Russia might also stand by their side,” he said.

He stressed the strategic danger of continuing the war without international coordination, warning that miscalculated aggression could leave “Israel” diplomatically isolated and strategically weakened.

Where does the US stand?

Meanwhile, the Pentagon remains divided over US engagement in conflicts in the Middle East, with many calling for the implementation of the America First policy over providing more military support for "Israel".

Former Pentagon adviser and retired US Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor issued a stark warning on Sunday, cautioning that a war with Iran could plunge the United States into a global conflict.

"War with Iran is likely to walk the United States directly into WWIII. Let's avoid this!" MacGregor posted on X, as tensions reached a new high following a major escalation between the Israeli occupation and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened Iran and vowed to defend "Israel".

When Iran have the some serious intel also…

Maybe they’re now as rouge as Bibi and em’ but how you get secret intel and know where secret facilities are?
You get that from doing your homework…

“Israeli media report that recent strikes in Tehran targeted air defense systems, the Intelligence Ministry building, and the IRGC headquarters.

The main Tehran police headquarters was reportedly hit by FPV drones linked to Mossad.

Iran has officially confirmed a drone strike on the police building, stating that several officers were injured.

Some Iranian outlets also claim that several fires were caused not by incoming strikes but by car explosions on city streets.”

Israel is resorting to car bombs for targeted assassinations.

Tehran awoke to flames and chaos today Sunday as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) escalated its air campaign, codenamed Operation Rising Lion, targeting Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure. The operation, launched on June 13, has struck over 170 sites across Iran, with more than 80 in the capital alone, dealing severe blows to the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions and military leadership, according to IDF statements and reports from Ynetnews.

Explosions rocked Tehran overnight, with eyewitnesses reporting “enormous flames and repeated blasts” near military bases and residential neighborhoods housing senior commanders, per Iran’s Fars News Agency. The IDF confirmed strikes on critical targets, including the Iranian Ministry of Defense headquarters, the Sepand nuclear project headquarters, and fuel depots used for military purposes. Iranian state media reported a fire at Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport, though the IDF denied targeting civilian infrastructure like the Fordow nuclear facility. Posts on X claimed power outages in northern Tehran and flames engulfing the Shahran Oil Depot west of the capital, though these remain unverified.

The IDF’s operation, involving over 200 fighter jets, including F-35I “Adir” stealth aircraft, dropped more than 330 munitions on approximately 100 targets in its opening waves, securing air superiority over western Iran. Mossad’s covert operations, including a drone base near Tehran and smuggled precision weapons, crippled Iran’s air defenses, enabling Israeli jets to operate freely, according to an Israeli official cited by The Aviationist. Among the casualties were Iran’s top military commanders, including IRGC Commander Hossein Salami, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and nine nuclear scientists, such as Fereydoon Abbasi, per Iranian and IDF reports.

Iran retaliated with over 300 ballistic missiles in seven salvos, killing at least 11 Israelis, seven in Bat Yam, four in Tamra, and three elsewhere, and injuring over 385, with seven in serious condition, according to Israel’s Ministry of Health. On June 15, Iranian missiles struck Haifa’s oil refineries, damaging pipelines but causing no casualties, per a Tel Aviv Stock Exchange filing. The IDF’s Iron Dome and Arrow systems, supported by U.S. THAAD interceptors, neutralized most threats, though some missiles hit Tel Aviv’s Kirya military district and civilian areas, per CBS News. Iran launched around 100 drones, most intercepted, but has withheld its heaviest missiles, like the Kheibar, signaling a potential escalation, according to Ynetnews and X posts.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned, “If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at Israel’s home front, Tehran will burn,” echoing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s assertion that the operation targets Iran’s regime, not its people. The IDF justified the preemptive strikes, citing intelligence that Iran had amassed enough enriched uranium for up to 15 nuclear weapons, per ABC News. The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed no radiation spikes at Natanz, despite significant damage reported by Israeli media.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed a “severe punishment,” calling Israel’s actions a “declaration of war,” while Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi cited self-defense rights. Iranian media reported 78 deaths, including 29 children in a Tehran housing complex strike, though the BBC could not independently verify these figures. Iran canceled nuclear talks with the U.S. scheduled for June 15 in Oman, per NBC News.

In Israel, a state of emergency persists, with airspace closed, schools shifted to remote learning until June 21, and public transport limited to essential routes, per IDF Home Front Command. A hostile aircraft intrusion alert was issued in the Bekaa region at 3:21 p.m. and 3:22 p.m., covering Shadmoth Mehola, Mehola, and Rotem, heightening civilian anxiety. El Al canceled flights through June 30, and 742 citizens are homeless, per the Welfare Ministry.

U.S. forces assisted in intercepting Iranian missiles but were not involved in Israel’s strikes, per Secretary of State Marco Rubio. President Donald Trump urged Iran to negotiate, warning on Truth Social that further Israeli attacks would be “even more brutal,” though he claimed no U.S. military role. Unverified X posts speculated about U.S. involvement or Mossad false flag operations, but no credible evidence supports these claims.

As Tehran grapples with fires and disrupted infrastructure, and Israel braces for further Iranian retaliation, the region teeters on the edge of a broader conflict. The IDF’s sustained aerial dominance and Iran’s restrained missile reserves keep the world watching, with fears of escalation impacting global markets and the Strait of Hormuz.

Sooo Israel thinks Iran's city/ state police officers are their biggest threats?

Not the hundred plus missiles being fired from "secret" SAM locations!

That's like US going to war with Russia and Russia targets the Columbus, Oh police headquarters....... I mean yeah "you got em," but they weren't really the bigger threats.

It's ridiculously hilarious, fam. Some of these "journalists" describing events as if Israel already won the war after their initial strike and pretending that damage to Israel was minimal when we see hordes of Israelis panicking while Tel Aviv, Military Air Bases, nuclear sites, numerous occupied areas of Israel are getting struck. etc. in 4K. Gotta love how they pretend to know what Iran's capabilities are and that "Iran should take the deal before it's too late". :roflmao::lol:

Since the likes of Sky News want to cosplay like Israel is "winning and has Iran on the ropes", did they report that Netanyahu (Bibi) scrambled to Greece or that Begging Bibi is pleading with the U.S. and other Nations to get involved less than 48 hours later?:roflmao:

Definitely NOT the behavior of a Nation that is confident in it's chances.

The Weizmann Institute of Science; Israel’s leading research institution, was struck directly during Iran’s overnight missile and drone barrage on central Israel. According to a report by The New York Times, at least one laboratory building caught fire, and reports are now emerging of people trapped inside. Emergency services are on-site and working to rescue those inside under hazardous conditions.

The strike on the Weizmann Institute marks a symbolic and strategic blow, as the institution is considered the crown jewel of Israeli civilian scientific research.
