Is it just me.....
Or does it seem like people are dying at a younger age now?
With a lot of companies laying off full time workers w/ benefits
And also a lot of people working part time, or gig type work
Seems like less & less people have decent health insurance now a days
Or am I just trippin? :dunno:
Dunno but I’m still kinda fucked up 2 of my best friends died one last year Od’d at 48 and my other best friend died at 53 2 weeks ago( I’m 51) seems like lot of folks passing away in mid or low 50’s

Damn.

I knew she was battling cancer but this still hits hard.

The 90s is slowly dying off.
She was on the Urban View Morning Show a few months back talking about fighting cancer by not eating sugar.

I am not a doctor. I'm just a guy with an RN license. But you hear these pseudo-science conversations, you have to wish folks the best. That's what freedom is. That's what a quality of life is all about.

I just finished reading up on her. Unfortunately, she was one of those worried about the "Radiation" in a mammogram. So she didn't get them regularly. Her Cancer was discovered late. Then she was advised to get a double mastectomy, and she refused. I recently had this discussion with a woman about getting mammograms, and she was talking about the radiation. I looked it up and its more pseudoscience bullshit. This is a sad case of FAFO. "Nothing" is the worst thing you can do for your health at any age. In Many States, you can get mammograms even if you don't have health insurance. Ultimately, you must get yourself checked out, or you may find yourself checking out early.

RIP to this young, talented sister.

Once you get cancer, sugar doesn't matter. There is a misunderstanding about how cells use sugar, particularly cancer cells. All cells need sugar. My sister in law was telling me that nonsense when my wife had Stage 4 Uterine Leiomyosarcoma. Sarcoma is such a BADASS Cancer if it really wanted sugar, I'm convinced it could leave your body, drive your car to the nearest 7-11, pick up a couple of 20oz Sprites, some Kit Kats, and a Sticky Bun. Consume them all and jump back into your body.
