The problem with the nba now is that they only focus on certain players and not the entire nba.. literally for the past decade plus the storyline was will a certain player when a chip or if he didn’t what does his team need to do to surround him with the right player to win a ring.. it goes is this the nba or follow the brick road for a particular player.. you got all these fad fans that only watch to see if that particular player gets to go back to Kansas or not. If he dosent and is eliminated they stop watching the nba.. basically the Taylor swift shit with the chiefs has been the nba .. the difference is the nba has done it way longer and you are seeing the repercussions of it at a larger scale.. the 45 percent drop in viewership during reg season, certain playoff series dropping in viewership the past few yrs after a certain player didn’t make it to playoffs or once his team got eliminated .. back in the days whether a smaller market or not if two good teams or competitive teams were playing ud watch it cause there were more diehard fans of the game that actually like basketball and understood it.. not these fad watchers who switch caps every few yrs cause Dorothy jumping to a diff team to find her way back home… I mentioned this over a decade ago on here why the nba will decline and it was for this reason and it did
