Yep and I’m always rooting for the media to put emphasis on this. The NBA is so used to dynasties or at least the same crop of top teams/players that they don’t know how to pivot when the unexpected happens. They’re not equipped for a “March Madness” type of Cinderella story
I'm always curious to know what can be done to "Market" teams to draw fans in?
There's a lotta haters but the Lakers had the most nationally televised games because they draw viewers.
People like LeBron and the Lakers, sorry haters it's the truth.

That aside, fans like who they like and are drawn to a particular player or team because they like watching them play.
In short, the NBA has to make fans give a shit about players and teams.
No matter how good the basketball is.
If people don't give a shit about you or your team, then they ain't watching.
Golden State wasn't a team that was supposed to be popular, Steph made us want to watch him and give a shit about the Warriors.
We currently have a Finals where his own fellow NBA players voted Tyrese the most overrated. So if his fellow NBA players feel that way, imagine how the fans feel?
They never thought about him, until now.
And the star from the other team is known as the "Freethrow Merchant", and he's the MVP of the league.

The big cities are always easier to market because of population and fans! They just have a bigger fan base or support base. And when major player superstar player is in those markets and wins then it’s that much easier! GS always had fans they just wasn’t as national as now! The NBA needs to do better with marketing the players in these smaller markets. The owners of these teams needs to do better as well! Dynasties draw other fans from other cities in! Because they will become bandwagons or they will hate! Both causes more viewers and ratings and gambling! Which fuels the ratings! These owners need to promote their teams and players better…

In the history of the game(guards), there is only Iverson Magic MJ and Kobe that were showman like Curry; the embodiment of what they could do that transition the game is just unbelievable...

It's great watching smaller players that have had such key roles in the sport. They're essentially always facing guys who are bigger and stronger, but they make up for it with their basketball I.Q. and technical savvy.
Makes them even more great! They not suppose to do what they do! But they do it all the time and every night! No matter who is guarding them. Shit is amazing to watch!
