Maybe we shall see; but they are young just like the previous OKC team was; and again they wont keep this team together whether they win or not; they got 2 years probably max to win...
I mean, at least they can keep this core together for a few years to try to get a championship which would be better than them not winning it all breaking up this core.

This team might be young but they have the talent to get the job done.

What about Minnesota's team as well? Any players moving on from them in the next few years if they can't make / win a Finals?

Didn't even try to run it back...

Dumb ass GM traded Harden that off season for Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb

And you wonder why KD Left...
Yeah, that was a dumb ass trade going backwards. Then they tried to do this westbrook and PG experiment which didn't work because they never could get the job done when it matters the most.

Seems like OKC learned from their mistakes building through the draft and keep this core together to become seasoned and now they're here on the brink to get to the finals.

And Bum ass Perkins for Jeff Green...

Could have been Golden State running that small ball lineup first...

Naz and Randle are free agents; the whole reason KAT was traded is because they didnt want to pay him; same as Luka; the new NBA CBA has changed the game; these teams are gonna let these players walk and or trade them; they not gonna want to pay luxury tax; its gonna cause teams to break up; look at all the talk surrounding the Celtics; the CBA is an effective hard cap and kills team depth; and its gonna cause player salaries to go down; players should have never agreed to it; and frankly neither should these dumb ass owners...

They didnt want to pay Harden thats why he wanted out; with this team they wont be able to pay all of them; so they got about 2 years before all the young players will want max or close to it; and then look out...

Nah, they just are playing against better teams; thats all it is; anyone who thought Minny was a better team than OKC was fooling themselves...

Not that, my prediction was that it was trading a negative for another negative and the teams and fans would end up regretting the move. Both would show what they are as players.

Never understood why they broke up.
Because these owners dont want to pay players!! Look at what happen in Denver; or hell look at Dallas after they won; and these owners are colluding against the owners who have no problems paying!! its stupid to be honest; but again they playing hunger games with players and each other...

I'd trade Randle for an empty bag of chips.

I'm sure some of them will stay and not all of them will get a max since they would want to get a discount but with the NEW TV deal and the cap going up every year, OKC should be able to afford them.

We'll see, I do like this core of how they play together because they're fun to watch.

Well said.

Plenty of continued trades and player movement ...

No it wont; lol; the luxury tax will happen to any team that has at least 3 players with max contracts period; Shai, Williams, and Chet will be max out; that means luxury tax...

It still doesn't make any sense because they should've paid them, especially with them making the finals that year, because all they needed to do was add a few pieces along with running it back and they could've at least won a championship back then.

I agree they should have paid the players and kept the teams together; but again how many owners want to do that?? I count maybe 3 or 4 max and thats not enough when the other 26 27 owners are against you; these owners are not about winning first; they about fattening their pockets first; big difference...

Just because a player wants a max doesn't mean they will get it.

Yeah, I know those main 3 will get paid since they're the engine that runs that team.

But OKC won't lose too many players since they would need some players on the bench.

They should still be fine regardless if they continue to draft well.
