}~~~> Official 2024/2025 NBA Thread<~~~{ the playoffs are here!!!

I mean look what you saying though you giving him props for playing hard lol. That’s literally his job.
I stand by you can’t win with a nigga like Westbrook as one of your best players.

And you for sure was emotionally invested because you was acting like Westbrook was winning games by himself. Even shitting on other Nuggets to boost him up.

I don’t think nobody ever questioned how hard he played if they did they were misinformed.

How did I shit on the Nuggets? By calling them some lazy, satisfied bitches who already have that “We won a chip, you can’t tell us nothing” attitude?

That’s exactly what they play like. Excuse me for calling them out for not being “hungry”. Russ is hungry. And Quit saying, “that’s what he’s supposed to do” like there’s a lot of players in the NBA that match his tenacity and energy.

It’s the Pacers. Cavs will still win
If the Pacers are down going into the 4th, they're gonna pull out the secret weapon

Let’s not act like Kerr didn’t snatch that man’s spirit and confidence.
I was on that side of the fence for a while
And of all people you know I'm not the Kerr defender

His spirit was snatched because he had no interest in learning the read and react and no interest in working hard

That has shit to do with playing time

Podz is not better than kuminga
Post is nowhere near as good as kuminga
However this ain't the hornets. We don't need 1 guy to get his every trip just cause and winning be damned

Podz plays (this is his 2nd year btw I know it seems like he's been here 6 years but this is his 2nd) with maximum effort. You can't coach maximum effort either you have it or you don't

Post pisses all over his leg and did in the Houston series but you know what? He don't make the same mistakes he made at the beginning of the season. He has learned how to defend better from when he first started getting playing time. Until now you know what else he does? plays with maximum effort. He be doing stuff wrong all the time but it's not rooted in laziness. It's ignorance because he's a rookie.

Moody should be way better than what he is but he gets time because he's not a good offensive player yet and very streaky but he plays defense lockdown defense and he tries really really hard.

This is the turning point for me. I sat back and I looked at pretty much all the people that Kerr didn't play and that I accused him personally of stunting their growth and then when they left and went somewhere else they weren't better. They weren't hidden gems show me the hidden gem that we had that he said couldn't play that we let go that ended up being a star

Like you can't even point to poole because we didn't want to let him go. Draymond messed that up. We paid him $100 million

If kuminga had the right attitude then he would be allworld. He would play all the time. I hope he plays this entire series just as a learning lesson or something cuz we need him but if he's out there not grabbing 10 rebounds a game not locking down the wing defender not being Amen Thompson like literally kuminga has been here 4 years and if he just simply did the things. Amen Thompson did he would never leave the court but he doesn't cuz he doesn't care about it and that has nothing to do with kerr that has everything to do with bad advice.

They got Jimmy and planted his ass on the bench let’s not act like his heart is why he not getting minutes. As a matter of fact they tend to do that to a lot of their young guys whatever happened to Dale Davis son?
Completely disagree with you. We made a move for Butler because kuminga has not grown in 4 years.
The fact of the matter is it is a tough environment to grow if you are with the warriors because you don't get the time to stink and make the same mistakes over and over again for 20 years until you finally might get it and I understand that might stink. But the people who do work hard the right way and by the right I don't mean his dedication to basketball. I mean his dedication to growing up as a basketball player. Then you get to play. Podz is not as talented as him but podz plays with maximum effort and he learns and grows and gets better point me in the direction of one thing that kuninga is better at now than he was when he was a rookie literally anything on offense or defense? Is he a better health defender? Does he block a lot of shots? Does he lock anyone down? Does he not commit a lot of fouls? Is he great on the alley? Oops! Can he even take someone one-on-one without following and calling for a foul? Can he work within the system? Can he cut? Can he move? Have you seen him throw an assist like you see what I mean like when you break it down. What are you talking about Butler's here because come here wasn't cutting it after 4 years. The number seven pick in the draft look at all the people drafted before and after them and this is just an indictment on him because he has all the talent in the world. He has all the work ethic in the world but if you're working on the wrong things then it doesn't really matter. He wants to get in his bag. Why do you need to get in your bag he's trying to be? giannis and we don't need that if he was. Shawn Marion we probably would never lose
Play great defense. Collect 20 points because two people are guarding Steph and get another ring.

Thank you for the detailed breakdown and you're right about everything that you said! Down to it seeming like Podz being there for years!

And honestly if Podz is doing everything correctly on the court and playing hard, then he is a better basketball player than Kuminga.

As you've described and detailed, playing basketball is more than just dribbling and shooting. And if that's all that you can do on the court, the. You won't be on the court.

Kuminga's 4th year and he still hasn't acclimated himself to the program? The. Dammit that's all on him and I take back what I said about Kerr.

Thanks again for the detailed breakdown.

If you notice - which really made me be quiet about things. Kerr is still dumb for taking Steph out on heaters and sometimes being too relaxed I'll die on those hills

But if you can play you can play
The system built on Steph draws 2 so everyone else gets to play free works cause of Steph
If you don't understand how to get yours going against the 4th best defender that's on you
That's why getting Jimmy was pivotal. Took him 1 week to be like this is the easiest basketball of my life
Meanwhile KD was resistant and took offense to the fact that he had it easy. Let y'all bully him into leaving and the nigga ain't been close since

All kuminga has to do is grab 10 boards. Who can out jump him?
Make 5 cuts in the flow of the offense and like 5 transition plays
And stay in front of the defender that's an all star player
He ain't learn nothing from Wiggins and Draymond but post already is???

I wish he'd get it together it's right there for him
Draymond fucked the Poole situation completely
Kd situation I used to think so but I don't anymore I think he just saw how it was moving and didn't like it cause it's Steph's team Steph was the best player. If the coach of the finals says double Steph and let kd beat you. That says it all

But yea
I'm rooting for kuminga here. But if he wanna be giannis he gone fuck around and we're gonna trade him to the bucks for giannis...

Who'd be perfect btw.
Why?

Doesn't have to heavy lift. Doesn't have to be focus of defense. Has a defender next to him in Draymond and Jimmy to make the right plays etc

See how when I describe players that do well here the physical attributes come like 3rd or 4th?

Mitchell will never get the credit he deserves because his career has been in Utah and Cleveland

imagine if he did this in New York....carry your team with three starters out
