Movie News: Ryan Coogler & Michael B. Jordan - SINNERS - jim crow era vampire flick (SPOILERS OPEN!!!)

Interesting theory (I actually like the fact that this keeps people talking and going to see the movie).

However, Sammie was already "gifted" with great musical talent before he encountered "Remmick," and we already know that he was not a vampire.

Therefore, I really can't see Sammie needing to make a deal with the devil similar to the one allegedly made by "Robert Johnson" at the Crossroads.

^^^

I doubt Coogler would be that sloppy, especially since the point was to show vampires are the ones without reflections. Plus looking at that clip, you can clearly see Sammie's reflection. Don't know what the hell that kid was talking about lol
Plus Stack smelled Sammie and told Sammie his time for death wouldn’t be long. He even offered to turn him and Sammie said no.

THIS. Love the different viewpoints and interpretations from people of all races and backgrounds.

When I saw someone make a whole curriculum around the movie, that’s when I realized yeah this going to be a movie discussed for years to come.

That part. Ryan Coogler is a student of the game. He wouldn't be that sloppy. I haven't seen it for a sixth time so I wasn't able to see if his reflection was there. I'll look for it next time I see it sometime either this week or next

Ive seen some folks wanting one but I personally wouldn't want a sequel to sinners but I wouldn't be against a mini series or an anthology of short stories in this universe.
It would be hit from the racists because of the racism that was alive and thriving during that era, and they'd say, "Why are you pulling the race card on us racists?"

I saw a screening of Thunderbolts yesterday. Its not that dark. Its a PSA for mental health awareness but it was pretty good.
Its Florence Pugh's movie but David Harbour killed it. Dude was stealing scenes left and right.
Hannah John-Kamen can get it. Period. Fuck what y'all say.
Geraldine Viswhateverinthefuck was really good in "You're Cordially Invited" but she really didn't have enough lines in this movie. Too many big stars, I guess.
I'd like to see Lewis Pullman do more comedy. I didn't really like the way he played Bob.
He's not his dad. He's got potential, though.
I think Tina Fey would have been better casting than Julia Louise Dreyfus but it is what it is.
This movie delves a lot into depression and mental health and it showed a lot of connection between the characters.

Honestly, I'd rather they keep Sinners in IMAX but Thunderbolts is a big movie. Sentry is the definition of OP but that's good. They said Captain Marvel would be the most powerful in the MCU but he would fuck CM up. All-in-all, its worth a watch.
I wish they would put Sinners in Dolby. Just to hear the music with that enhanced sound would be great!

I'd like to see black vampires in one of those racist sundown towns

"Say bwoy dontcha know your kind ain't welcome 'round these parts"

Oh which kind might that be

Unless stack goes on a killing spree in sundown towns it kinda wouldn’t make sense.. now a prequel that would be more about the head vampire is possible being that it can have his origin story and as some people have said his dealings with the native Americans being that it seems they knew what he was and maybe has done something similar in the past as far as taking over a group of people.. in fact the ending of that could be the beginning of the scene where he enters in sinners, show him running than flying and getting burnt running from the natives and have everybody go oh shit when he lands in front of the klan couple house or if they want a spin off that has nothing to do with vampires and everything to do with stack/smoke pulling off a heist with the mobs of Chicago

I've been saying in the Jbp thread, they need to get him outta there. he contributes nothing to the pod.

Mos def

But they were ALL WRONG.

But we gotta be careful who make heroes because Marc missed the target too. Not as bad but he still did. Which is fine he ain't perfect. But that's what we gotta remember about "smart". If I DM Marc and explain why his breakdown is incorrect? He would more than likely absorb it and appreciate it and correct it. Cool.

Flip is the worst because he is ignorant to the fact he is ignorant and defiant in his ignorance and Joe has rewarded his ignorance so he is no incentive to correct it.

Joe is committing a federal hate crime against intelligence every time he funds a microphone in that dumbass's face.

It will, and you can help without helping. If any of you have the regal MoviePass or any type of movie pass, buy a ticket, even if you don't go go on the app and buy a ticket. I just bought a ticket to the 3:00 IMAX showing that I'm not going to. I'm laying in bed. It's a free ticket, plus $0.52.

Do that shit everyday. Every fucking day. They get off on us not using the movie pass even though we pay $20 a month, they don't get their money's worth this time because I'm doing this shit every fucking day until it's out of the theaters
I always wondered how it counted towards the overall "ticket" purchase.

during the election I put a lot of people on ignore , old and new members , they came out the maga closet , im too old for the foolishness

He was probably distraught over the scene with the klan getting slaughtered
Just wrote a movie named "Cooners" just for them. Its about negros that only wanna be bit by white vampires. And if the white vampires were kkk before turning, them Cooners will bring their whole fam for a bite party. babies included.

I don't know. I think they make bank on the people who have it and don't use it. It's $20 a month, which means it pays for itself after 2 visits. But what if you go once a month, or once every 2 or 3 months? That's bank.

MoviePass went out of business because people were actually using it to go multiple times a month, so they actually had to pay and there was no bank of unused money.

The way Chadwick Boseman and keenen Ivory Wayans had the same mentality of not wanting to meet their idol as a fan, but after they've accomplished something so they are a peer and only then tell them that I am who I am because of who you are or what you did is fantastic. It really touches the soul

The vampires aren't necessarily evil, they're just filling a demand. They're no different than Auntie Annies.

This thread was heard to find even woth a google search; next time I'll add the phrase"movie news" or "now Playing" woth that out of the way i just saw it yesterday and ill say from a technical objective standpoint. It was a great film great ,story, great acting and entertaining; as for horror,Horror movies usially dont frighten me but some parts did feel creepy and river dancing vampires this movie has it all lol. I like how the plot came back ro the beginning where thy purchased the spot etc. and the action sequence at rhe end of the movie. give it a 9 out of 10
