Lets be honest..Shadeur didnt play the game.
Shilo wasnt as much of a stand out as his brother. What happened to Shadeur was a result of Deion gassing him up I said this in another thread..
Deion was acting like Shaduer should act like he did when he was the fifth pick overall in the 1989 NFL draft ..that was damn near 40 years ago and Shaduer's not half the physical specimen and athlete Deion was at his age. The closet you get something like that is Travis as a two way player...theres a reason he went #2....
I'm not saying I'm happy shit went the way it did....but lets keep it 100...if Shaduer got drafted in the first round he AND Deion would probably be impossible to deal with. Deion is a helicopter father but the big difference between him and other helicopter dads is that Deion's career backs up his shit talking. But that doesnt mean hes not a pain in the ass to deal with as a father whose hovering all over the place.
What happened wasnt just for Shadeur...that was for Deion too...he set his son up for that.
If Shadeur had played it staight he would have most likely went early in the 2nd round.

I see what you saying...but they didn't treat John Elway and Eli manning like that..who refused to play for certain teams. Archie manning said that Eli wouldn't play for the Chargers. I do think if Al Davis was still alive hr would have picked him earlier,.
This is one of the reasons that I pulled back on any type of discussion with what's going on in Colorado vs what has occurred in CFB for decades. The only thing new is the marketing of the program. Minshew was at Wash St, won the Unitas, was 4th or 5th in Heisman voting, beat multiple ranked teams and finished 11-2 and 10th in the nation. 6th rd pick....People are crying foul because they just started watching and can't believe this happened...Once Tomlin passed, with his qb room in disarray like it is, I knew there were other red flags with the situation...NFL teams don't care about flashy or confident. Every NFL QB has been the shit since they were in elementary and they are all cocky, even the backups...

Out of all of the people that has worked with Shedeur, but no longer directly affiliated with him, none are vouching for him.
Shedeur bragged about working with Tom Brady for years but I can’t find one quote of Tom Brady saying that Shedeur is an elite QB.
Shedeur worked a full season with Sean Lewis. Sean Lewis has worked with an NFL QB and is a QB/offensive specialist. He is currently a Head Coach. I can’t find any quotes of him saying Shedeur is an elite QB.
The idea that Shedeur is elite really comes from his father and analysts who are friends of his father. His stats were impressive but QBs with impressive stats have been drafted low or I drafted for years. Colorado threw the ball every down and Shedeur took sacks rather than threw the ball away. He also didn’t work under Center much. Shedeur and Shilo were manufactured by their Father. Both were prioritized throughout their college careers and highly overrated when it comes to NFL ability. It’s not the NFLs fault. I predict that Dillon Gabriel beats out Shedeur for the backup spot.

it gets tough to root for this league
I saw 180+ black kids immediately become millionaires (avg 7th rd contract 4 yrs 4.3 million dollars) so there is no way in hell I am going to feel sorry for a kid who reportedly bombed all his interviews, received bad advice from his advisors (not throwing or participating in post season events), had his dad tell teams outright that he would never let his kids play for them (including the team that drafted his kid) etc. At some point we have to stop coddling these young MEN and they need to play the game like adults. Deion brags to this day about how he disrespected the draft process when he was drafted (generational talents and connected white boys can do that) and you better believe he was pushing that same bullshit to his kids. You see Shilo signed with Rosenhaus and immediately got a chance with Tampa. Thankfully, Shedeur landed in an ideal situation because he could/should eventually beat out the other QB's in the Browns organization and that second contract will be the one that brings him the elite money.
