I dont have the answers unfortunately. I will say alcohol was responsible for my crippling depression. When I haven't had any, I may still get depressed, but it doesn't last as long, and its not as intense.
What part of Trinidad?Kinfolk going thru it
I’m say this, when I visited Trinidad I was truly amazed at the realization that we work
Our time away.
I asked my peeps “bruh wtf these dude don’t work”
He laughed and said “ummm kinda, down here we mostly fishermen. You go out early and by the time
It was like 10am, on a Wednesday we pulled up to a lil house/store. Five of his peeps was liming aka chilling drinking beer and taking shots of punchin rum.
I saw the same scene at another spot, folks just chilling.
We went to his cuz house, she was chillin.
She just finished cooking a meal and was relaxing with her two sisters.
I was like wtf
His expression pretty much was
“Here they definitely need money but it don’t control us like in States. In America yall are raised to be workaholics”

It is interesting that you are saying this because what you are describing is how I felt about my experiences with my Louisiana family. My cousins were asking me to quit my career here in California to move out there and kick it with them. They were really confused that I didn’t quit my career and move out there too. They never asked about my income or any of the considerations or concerns that I had.
They all worked a laborious job and promised that they could get the same job. Their daily routine was working the job, then hanging out at the bar with friends and fucking broads. Every day and night. I estimate that me and my friends here made 3x what they made, we went out on weekends, and fucked broads every weekend, but they appeared to have a much higher level of contentment and happiness. They didn’t seem at all concerned with making as much money as they can or their futures. They seemed a lot more focused on their present. As long as their immediate needs were met, they just had fun every day. Im not sure how they are doing now, but the older folks in the town all seemed the same way and generally happy and content.
, 2 teenagers and grandkids… then i give money to one of the teenager mother. Boy yall young ninjas are fucked up….
