Devils’ advocate: if I traveled for work and only needed a bed when home it’s makes some sense. Flight attendants, pilots, truck drivers are home a few days a week. Buy it cash, and stack your bread for several years and rent it to other flight attendants, traveling nurses, etc. You’d really have a lot fee, utilities and whatever property taxes.

I remember when the IRS confiscated just about everything Redd Foxx had neither Eddie Murphy nor Richard Pryor would give or lend him enough money that would have allowed him to keep his shit. Eddie said I gave him a role in Harlem Nights, that's enough. Redd was known for helping people struggling financially but when he needed it not one fuck was given by those who could and should have. He deserved better and so does Dawn.

Reality is this is just a stupid waste of time. These greedy builders built this with hopes for attacting tiny homers. Without really paying attention to what tiny home people put in their shit. All builders know that the cost per square foot is dictated by plumbing. So for $5K to $10K more they could have added another container right beside it and added a living room and/or 2nd bedroom. Hell, whoever buys one of these could do it themselves and get a 2 bedroom 1 bath home for about $85K dollars.
I on the other hand would prefer to go barnominium for that price.
If it’s your only option, why not.
As you get better opportunities later, you can rent it out after you move out into a larger home.
