@ny1800 NOPE is right.. you don't understand how mental illness works because you think a person who cant control their behavior or how the chemical imbalance in their brain affects their behavior is somehow STILL responsible for their choices, decisions and actions.
Not caping for her, but that's not necessarily true. The parent - child dynamic changes as the child becomes an adult - especially a much older adult like Dawn is. Yes, the respect factor should still be present, but the personalities of the two adults may change over the years, which may cause a disconnect.
That is why normal people move out of their parents house and are not living under someone else's roof at 59-60.
It's not an ideal situation, but that doesn't mean a person moving back into their parents' home doesn't mean they're not "normal". It happens frequently, and for many reasons - for example, not everybody has an 850 credit score like you, 850credit.
