I think they have the freedom to choose where they would like to promote it.

I'm sure she'll do the regular magazine interviews and talk show appearances, but some stars just aren't into social media like that. There's a whole controversy over Hollywood leaning way too much on it.
Scarlett could get a team to run her account, as some celebrities do, so maybe it's just a matter of principle. But the funny thing is that social media rarely translates into huge album sales, big box office or whatever. Think about how many singers and rappers with millions of IG followers but their albums go double wood.

A social media account could be looked as a personal thing so she could be like I’m not using my personal account for biz.. now if you have a biz account or page for her just for the movie than you could ask her to promote.. like if jurassic park had a social media account and they specifically created one for her and her character and request her to post on their for promotional purposes than maybe they could do that or push that method

To be honest, she makes a fair point. Being an actor is a fun job, but at the end of the day, it's still a job. Not everyone is built to be on 24/7, nor do they want that responsibility.
