Man, you know I understood the hate when LBJ was on the team. "It wasn't fair", "Gilbert cheated/stole the #1 pick", "he's only going back to make his wife/mom happy", "a small market team having him is a cheat code" .....etc
But the Cavs now are a genuine small market team getting it out the mud. Spida was truly the only "big name" on the team and the others elevated their games to meet the need. Garland, Mobley and Allen weren't hugely sought after picks..... but they will be if Gilbert doesn't extend their contracts. Is there only room in the league for 1 of LBJs former teams to do well without him?
Sorry fam, but we've got a better front office and an owner that has learned how to act and treat players post lbj..... y'all might get there. Without Riley, definitely. With him, possibly.
