Agreed. I'm trying to tackle a few series, as I still need to get around to a number of the Oscar nominated movies.
Finished Bookie and Cobra Kai recently. Watched Say Nothing before that, as well as Laid.
Currently working on Paradise, The Pitt, and A Thousand Blows.
Need to circle back to Cross and Interior Chinatown, and of course the new season of Reacher.
Yeah I just still wonder why they kept Coop in LA, i really thought they would've sent her to NYC with the rest of the Vortex that's all there now especially with Spencer playing in the NFL there and Patience on Broadway out there

A Thousand Blows is a British television drama series created by Steven Knight about the Forty Elephants, an all-female crime syndicate clashing with the world of illegal bare-knuckle boxing in 1880s London. Side note - my dad noted he really liked the series Mom during its run. Said it was well written surrounding AA / addiction, etc. He would know as both my parents are recovering alcoholics, and the disease runs in the family (dad's father, uncles, aunts, a cousin or two).

That's the thing re: streaming. Never quite know what the TRUE numbers are.
Apparently Landman on Paramount+ was a huge smash ... but I'd like to see the real, true data.
And often the media / entertainment podcasters and critics joke that when Netflix or who(m)ever tells us about minutes watched ... it doesn't really help us much. "2 billion minutes watched of this series!!!!!!!!!!"
And they reply - "But is that a SMALL number watching everything, and rewatching? Or EVERYONE watching just a few minutes and turning it off because it's dissapointing?"

I think my dad caught up after the fact, and then tuned in when it aired live in the latter part of its run.
I emailed my pops about the cancellation and his reply was - "It's odd because the show won't be truly missed. Not because it was bad, but because unfortunately not enough people knew about it. Funny show. I enjoyed the stuff they got up to on the show. Thanks for introducing me to it."
Not the true numbers but we tend to know what are the "flagship" shows for each platform tho like Squid Game and Stranger Things for Netflix. GoT/HOTD and Euphoria for MAX. The Powerverse shows for Starz. I haven't watched any of them but i guess Taylor Sheridan shows are it for Paramount+?

yeah I remember reading an article about how many others seen how Dick Wolf and Jerry Bruckheimer have been the 2 that have built personal fortunes around $1B from the TV universe model but it'll be difficult going forward to do due to the change in the landscape. They did say that Chuck Lorre, Taylor Sheridan, and Shonda Rhimes are the 3 that are the closest to getting to that level right now and all have already made well into the 9 figures with their tv universes. I know 50 cent wants to as well but he's far from that level so far
Indeed. Often hear Ryan Murphy's name brought up too. Him and Shonda have done quite well with ABC & Netflix, and FX too for Murphy.

She was explaining the process when talking / pitching with the networks and streamers. Basically the process being you're going there showing how you've mapped out a story over say 3 - 5 seasons, with the potential for a spinoff sequel or prequel, or more. How important I.P. and franchise is ... and I think alot of us have noticed that with HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, FX, Showcase, AMC, and others over the years ... actually allowing a show to find its footing and audience, and build on it.
The problem often with ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox is they can stuff too early due to lower ratings.
