Back in the day, I slept on the original Rurouni Kenshin. It used to air on Adult Swim, but there were so many other good animes/shows I barely watched.

This iteration of Rurouni Kenshin came out in 2023. I dont know how similar the 2023 version is to the O.G. version, but the 2023 version is outstanding. I binged the first 10 episodes without even realizing it.

I'm in my 50's now, and I thought I had grown out of anime. But this series got me back into it. If you like reboots of old school anime I highly recommend this series.

Dramatic and emotional. Especially with the effective acting from the secondary characters (family members). Believable.

I haven't had a chance to check out the first few eps of Reacher (season 3) yet, but I did start these series when visiting pops.

We are enjoying both, and the One Thousand Blows series is from the creator of Peaky Blinders who also wrote the screenplay for Eastern Promises.

I'm not fully sure, but it looked like the bar used in it was one of the main ones featured in Peaky Blinders.
