I had a long conversation with someone I have known most of my life yesterday.
She is of the opinion that the political situation is very bad, but she goes on about life as if nothing were out of order. I do not understand people like this.
I may not be able to effect significant change, but I can at LEAST take time to make a plan to DEAL with the shit that is already flooding the room.
I wonder what would happen if those of us dismayed by the outcome of the election would make better use of the time we take arguing with trolls, disputing Russian disinformation, reposting X posts, and basically calling one another coons and cacs.
What if we were to spend that time communicating SIGNIFICANT events AS THEY HAPPEN, and soliciting and offering suggestions for dealing with the same?
Not a panacea, but those who fail to plan, plan to fail.
Gonna go lurk now.
