The members of Congress (House of Representatives and the Senate).
They could have united and impeached and convicted this fool and barred him for running for president in the future.
They had the power to do it then and can do it it now. However they won't because they are benefitting.

Trump was convicted of 36 felonies and you think him being convicted by congress would have stopped him from being able to run for president?
The Supreme Court ruled that states can not remove Trump from their ballots for insurrection. Yet you think congress had or has the power to stop Trump from running for president. Never mind trying to stop him now.

Of course it will arouse disappointment and anger at the people who would support it. Why would ANYONE support it? The truth is that none of us even knows what the cuts are. So far, the proposed cuts have been via increasing the documentation to qualify, and adding job training requirements for non seniors to qualify. I don't see anything wrong with either of these. There is a lot of fraud and able bodied adults in their 20s-50's who are abusing the system.

So many hospitals majority source of revenue is from medicare and medicaid, so saying this would be a major hit is an understatement. Hospitals have been at capacity this flu season as it is. So less funding means some have to close, therefore the ones left with literally no place for that extra influx of patients.

He was not convicted by Congress dude. "Convicted by Congress" is the actual removal from office in the impeachment process.
Impeachment = means to bring charges against someone. He was charged. He was not convicted then removed from office.

Your post has 2 points of data and both are false. Amazon paid Billions in taxes. Tesla is not illegal benefiting from subsidies. There is Billions more subsidies available for gas powered cars. If the US ended all auto related subsidies, Tesla would be even more powerful because they have the biggest margins. A lot of these US companies wouldn’t survive without subsidies.
Where did I say he was convicted by congress? I know exactly what impeachment means. What I said is what makes you think him being convicted by congress would have stopped him from being able to run for president again??

The remedy was for the majority of voters to reject his bid for a second term.
